Seniors built this city. They should be able to stay in it. Safer sidewalks. Bikes and scooters off the footpath. Free parking at Locarno and Spanish Banks. Clean washrooms. More disabled and caregiver parking. Faster seniors housing. Relief for new walk-in clinics. Senior centres that double as cooling spaces and more.

To me, Fjord is a perfect exploration of perspective and the truth. It’s such a rich choice to set things from the family’s POV and let us shape our reaction as the audience through them. This offers a very fresh perspective on religion and really to me doesn’t pick any sides: it allows the audience to form their own thoughts and takeaways. It’s a part courtroom drama and also a sharply written thriller with incredibly engaging dialogue.  Additionally, it’s an amazing story about a broken family - for whatever reason. Our characters start this film in a place they’ve never been and we get to see how they adapt to that environment throughout the film. There’s so many devastating moments towards the end with great acting all around, obviously with Stan and Reinsve being very capable leads.  This is an amazing film. Easily the best I’ve seen at VIFF so far and one of the top from this year. I can see myself discussing this for the weeks and months to come and I can’t wait for everyone to see it! "Involuntary care is serious medicine. If we take away someone's liberty to treat them, we owe them a building that's fit for care. St. Paul's Hospital is not one of them." - Dr. Moria Stilwell, @DrMoiraStilwell Pledge to vote no: novancouverprison.com/

POWERFUL... 🤌🏼 🟥 Mark Carney: “When politicians (like Pierre Poilievre) claim our great democracies are broken, it's not because they want to FIX them. It's because they want a license to DEMOLISH... It's a model that has been USED time and time again: Create an external constraint to STARVE the beast of government, in a misguided view that SLASHING will lead to growing... ...When Poilievre shouts 'axe the tax!', he's really whispering, 'can the plan' and leaving us with NOTHING. Demolition is NOT a plan.” 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

"What we've seen in the past decade is the largest transfer of wealth from the public to the private sector since the province was founded." — Paul Finch, President of BC General Employees' Union Tax the land.
