Canada has turned a blind eye to being used as a training ground for foreign countries, gangs and terrorist groups. Books were written warning about this. Two great books warning us about what was happening: No Border by @CandiceMalcolm and Willful Blindness by @scoopercooper. If our leaders had listened to the people who told us Canada was being used to smuggle drugs and terrorist supply into the United States, we would not be where we are today. Yet, again today, we are ignoring the same people. They are right again. The solution is not bombastic talk. Everyone knows Canada cannot maintain high tariffs on the United States for long. The solution is simple: secure the border, deport the criminals, and make Canadian citizenship mean something again.

Compulsion > wanting/planning
By 30 I had a net worth of $10,000,000. I set that exact goal in my teens. $ + age. Not chance. By 40, -$5 mil, no cash, start over. Was that a goal? Well, yes. It was. I wanted better life credentials. Never saw past 30 as a kid. Divorced parents. After 30 built a new goal list maxing at 60 y/o. No written interim $ goals. Mistake. Unexpectd. Today goals to my 80's. "Goals" and "goal-setting" are still wildly misunderstood. @JamesClear Atomic Habits (great book) helps design the technical process to improvement and growth. “We don’t rise to the level of our goals, we fall to the level of our systems.” TOTAL DISAGREEMENT @lukeburgis states "goal-setting doesn't work". TOTAL DISAGREEMENT (I'm a gushing Burgis supporter.) Each of these men have reached goals they desired without having created a habit to get there. Actually, all of us have. Desire and the unable-to-be-explained results of it often (maybe always) ignore habits. However, they always include mindset. My long term goal that caused me financial wipeout was a new desire to be an extremely important global businessman and to have proven myself. "Oh yeah? Do it again from scratch." Ask and ye shall receive aka filter for desire. Not there yet, but maybe 70% there. AMA

First day of full time business, this day only comes once…

This mode of living can’t be taught, only learned through experiences. May we all have the strength to carry on when those days come
Charlie Munger: "If you soldier through, you can get through almost anything. It's your only option. You can't bring back the dead. You can't cure the dying child. You can't do all kinds of things. You have to soldier through it. If you have to walk through the streets, crying for a few hours a day as part of the soldiering through — go ahead and cry away. But you can't quit. You can cry, but you can't quit."
