THE UNHOLY TRINITY OF MANCHESTER PROPERTY DEALS:
ANDY BURNHAM GARY NEVILLE
DAREN WHITAKER
(Yes THAT Gary Neville, the most incompetent football coach ever, is also the most incompetent property developer ever)
Manchester is the Number 1 Housing Corruption Hot Spot…
Worldwide.
As the Truth of Bent Burnham’s Mayoral Mega Fiddles Drip, Drip, Drip…
WHO IS TRYING TO REMOVE THE PM BY XMAS?
Let’s Unpack:
🔥 BREAKING: Manchester’s Regeneration Model is starting to look like Grifter Central.
Sit back and enjoy…
Burnham signs off £35m of public money for a run‑down retail park valued closer to £25m — and now we learn that same over‑priced plot is being lined up for Number 10 North, his prestige political HQ.
A senior official refused to sign off the valuation and quit.
That alone should have stopped the deal.
Meanwhile Renaker — the developer Burnham’s GMCA has backed with over £600m in public loans — keeps getting prime sites, fast‑tracks and sweetheart pathways.
And its founder, Daren Whitaker, has already pulled tens of millions in dividends out of taxpayer‑supported projects… then relocated to Monaco.
Tax Free Monaco
Add the Greedy Useful Idiot, Gary Neville to the mix — the PR frontman whose major developments collapse unless Renaker rescues them — and you get a regeneration model that looks less like civic planning and more like a three‑man loop of cosy deals, inflated land buys and celebrity cover.
Manchester deserves growth.
Not over‑priced land assembly, not developer capture, not a prestige HQ built on a valuation insiders wouldn’t sign.
Time to shine a light on the Manchester Triangle.
Who Wants Burnham Gone?
(Apart from those who don’t like Coronations)
1️⃣ Internal Manchester Local Authority officials
This is the group with:
• access to documents
• knowledge of valuations
• insight into land deals
• frustration with political pressure
• no national political agenda
Senior officers have already:
• resigned over valuations
• raised concerns about governance
• complained about “developer capture”
• leaked to the media
Their motive:
protect professional integrity and expose what they see as distorted decision‑making.
2️⃣ Labour factions who never wanted Burnham
Burnham is not universally loved inside Labour.
Groups with motive include:
• Westminster Labour MPs who resent his independence
• Old‑guard figures who dislike his “Manchester first” brand
• Starmer‑aligned MPs who see him as a Con Artist
Their motive:
stop Burnham becoming a national power centre.
Leaks about land deals, UAE ties, and developer capture weaken his credibility.
3️⃣ Developers or foreign investors who feel Burnham has shifted position
Burnham has:
• criticised Manchester City’s ownership
• commented on Abu Dhabi investment
• distanced himself from certain foreign capital narratives
• pushed for more “public interest” framing recently
If any major investor group feels:
• Burnham is no longer fully aligned
• or he is politically unreliable
• or he is not defending them strongly enough
…they may quietly encourage scrutiny.
Their motive:
pressure Burnham back into alignment.
4️⃣ Political rivals in Greater Manchester
Burnham’s power eclipses:
• council leaders
• combined authority members
• local MPs
• regional Labour figures
Some feel:
• overshadowed
• bypassed
• sidelined
• frustrated by centralisation
They may leak to:
• rebalance power
• weaken Burnham’s dominance
• expose developer relationships
• highlight corruption
My favourite: those foreign UAE investors putting vast amounts of £££ into Manchester with Burnham taking orders from them now he’s seeking to distance himself.
Out by Xmas?
Let’s Hope So
