Sometimes navigating this space gets a little confusing. That’s why we’ve created a map everyone can use, whether you’ve just heard about peptides for the first time, or you’re in the trenches on a compound that sounds like it could be a newly discovered planet. That map is reptides. (Plus a little bit of soft house music for the Eurobros)

According to KTIV, Apex Peptides is connected to the business owners behind Apex Waste Management, which federal agents raided Wednesday, September 23, in North Sioux City, South Dakota. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is leading the investigation, with the FBI and IRS Criminal Investigation involved. KTIV's review of business filings links Apex Peptides, Apex Waste Management and Apex Research to Riley Isaacson and Jared Miller. Agents also searched a home owned by Isaacson's twin brother. The peptide connection is worth watching, but the reporting does not establish what prompted the searches or whether peptide sales are the focus of the investigation.

According to Harvard Business Review, McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski says more adults are ordering Happy Meals as GLP-1 drugs reduce appetite and push consumers toward smaller portion sizes. Kempczinski said McDonald's expects overall calorie consumption to decline as GLP-1 adoption grows, and the company has already been experimenting with: - Smaller portion sizes - Lighter menu options - Lower-sugar beverages - More emphasis on protein GLP-1s are beginning to reshape consumer behavior across the entire food industry. Restaurants and food companies built around decades of increasing portion sizes are now adapting to a consumer who may still want the same food, just significantly less of it.

What is Bromantane? Bromantane (sold as ladasten) is an adamantane drug approved in russia for asthenia, meaning illness-related fatigue. the idea is that it raises how much dopamine the brain can make, working slowly through gene expression rather than forcing dopamine out the way amphetamine does. reptides grades it B overall, and B for cognition. the support is older russian studies, including a 728-patient asthenia report. Those studies were in diagnosed patients, not healthy people. Long-term safety is thin, and the popular 11.21-hour half-life can't be traced to an accessible primary human source.
So another bromantane update: Today I decided to empty a 50mg capsule and mix it into some coconut oil to see if it would help with absorption. I believe I can say with a somewhat high degree of confidence that it does in fact work. The bromantane is just noticeably hitting me harder today than it did last week. I am a bit more well rested today and the jet lag brain fog is starting to wear off a bit, but compared to yesterday (no bromantane) the difference is like night and day. Makes sense mechanistically too. Bromantane is super lipophilic and barely dissolves in water, so getting it dissolved in the gut is the bottleneck for oral absorption. Taking it in oil pre-dissolves it, and the fat kicks off bile release, which packages it up and carries it to the gut wall. Next time, I will likely opt for the solution suspended in MCT oil. A long-chain fat (olive oil, fatty meal) could probably achieve a similar effect, but coconut oil tastes really good. Also, apparently the effects accumulate with time, so that could be playing a factor here... Either way, it's hitting me now. Much harder than it did earlier. Def providing a very unique/distinct feeling on focus/energy that I have never felt before. It's relatively "clean" and not an overly cracked out feeling like one may expect from Adderall or other stimulants. But in my opinion, quite a bit stronger than I expected. Almost seems like there is a bit of a reverse tolerance here as I am feeling more on 50mg now than I did on 100mg earlier in the week. Also stacking with: - 1000mg l-tyrosine - 200mg caffeine, 1000mg taurine, 1000mg carnitine, 150mg alpha GPC, 100mg NeuroFactor, 25mg AstraGin (via Ghost Energy) Alternating between Ghost Energy in the AM and Gorilla Mind. Effects are similar between the two. Personally I like Gorilla more (but I'm also a part of their ambassador program, so biased). Either way, I think the bromantane is doing the heavy lifting here. This is good stuff so far in my n=1. (Not medical advice, just my n=1 experience, for research and educational purposes only)

Ask Reptides just got a massive upgrade. We have spent the last few months turning Ask from a simple AI research tool into something that can actually help you use Reptides. Ask now has its own standalone page at, but more importantly, it persists as you move throughout the app. You can research a compound, check your stack, look through supplier data, open a COA, browse community reports, and keep asking questions the entire time without starting over. What makes Ask different from just opening ChatGPT or another general AI model is the context it has access to. It knows Reptides. - 153 compounds and the evidence behind them - Reptides grades and editorial research - Your current stack and journal - Community data - COA records - Supplier information - Goal-based compound rankings - Curated interaction data - The actual structure of the Reptides app So you can ask things like: "What peptides are most researched for sleep?" "Compare tesamorelin and HGH for body composition." "How would this fit into my current stack?" "Check my stack for overlap." "Log 250 IU of HCG." "How much do I draw from this vial?" "Take me to the COA checker." Or just talk to it. Voice Ask Reptides is significantly better now too. Reptides has become a pretty information-dense platform. That is a good problem to have, but only if people can actually find and understand the information. The goal with Ask is pretty simple: Instead of learning how to use Reptides, you just tell Reptides what you want to know or do. Research. Compare. Navigate. Check. Log. All from one feature.

You can now research alongside "ask reptides". Open a compound file → pull up "ask reptides" → ask research questions without leaving the page. For example... "What peptides are commonly stacked with testosterone?" reptides will break the answer down by what people are actually using them for. "hCG is the big one" for what testosterone suppresses. It also knows if hCG is already in your stack. For the GH-axis options, it compares HGH, tesamorelin, and secretagogues. The compound file, the evidence, your stack, and your COAs all in the same conversation.

What is KPV? KPV is a tripeptide, lysine-proline-valine, the C-terminal fragment of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone. At 342 Da, it is among the smaller bioactive peptides being researched. It is small enough to be transported via the PepT1 di/tripeptide transporter, which is unusual for a peptide drug. How it works KPV entered intestinal epithelial and immune cells through PepT1 and reduced inflammatory signaling. Oral KPV also reduced inflammation in two mouse colitis models. What benefits does the community report? Joint / tendon relief, skin / hair, injury healing Want to dive deeper? Ask reptides 👇

From a researcher perspective, I see choosing a supplier very similar to how I see picking a restaurant to eat at Fuck it up, cheap out on it, could fuck your shit up and end up in the ER with food poisoning While you may not directly see into the kitchen on how every single menu item is prepared, where every single ingredient is being sourced from, you do have resources at your disposal when selecting where you should dine 1. Word of mouth: do you know anyone personally that has been there and had a good experience? 2. Google reviews: check online to see what others have reported 3. Health inspection report: 3rd party independent analysis of the actual restaurant itself 4. Time open: been around for years with regulars, or popped up last month? 5. Price: $7 gas station sushi ... idk ... Same goes for vendors 1. Word of mouth: people you know and trust running their stuff 2. Reviews: X, platforms like @reptidesco, online communities 3. Inspection report: 3rd party independent COA on the actual batch you're buying 4. Time open: track record, and how they handled it when a batch came back bad 5. Price: if it's HALF what everyone else charges, ask why Ultimately at the end of the day, some people may not need to check all 5 to make a decision, but nonetheless, trust and transparency is a feature that runs through all of these criteria

This will be good to watch
Big update in the Lilly vs. FDA fight over retatrutide. Today, DOJ filed a last-minute letter pointing the court to a July case where the same appeals court said FDA’s interpretation of its own scientific definitions can still carry significant weight. DOJ is basically telling the judges: when deciding whether Reta should legally be treated as a peptide drug or a protein/biologic, FDA’s own scientific definition should matter. The entire case basically comes down to this: - Lilly wants retatrutide classified as a protein/biologic. - FDA says it is still a peptide drug and does not meet its definition of a protein. If Lilly wins and Reta is classified as a biologic, it moves into the biologics framework. Follow-up products would generally face the biosimilar pathway instead of the normal generic pathway, and 503A/503B pharmacies cannot use the normal drug-compounding exemptions for biologics. If FDA wins and Reta remains classified as a drug, it stays under the traditional drug framework, where 503A/503B compounding laws can potentially apply if all other requirements are met. Oral arguments are Thursday, September 24 at 9:30 AM in Chicago.
