The countries of the former British Dominions are undeniably part of the European family.
In this day and age, they face many of the same issues regarding migration and security that Europe itself faces.
It is no coincidence that these countries are being considered as potential associate members of the EU. This is not because of their “liberal democratic” values, but, undoubtedly, because of their European origins, even if mainstream politicians would deny this.
Ave Europa therefore supports associate membership for Canada, Australia and New Zealand, not out of some notion that the EU is an inclusive structure, but because these countries and their peoples have their roots in Europe.
By rediscovering their European roots, these countries can help Europe become a true world power once again.
