Bus drivers are working in dire conditions: Melting heat, abuse from fare evaders and often without even a toilet. And London's Mayors have been sluggish in doing anything about this.
That's why I've backed MyLondon's campaign to give them a better deal
ALT Rob Blackie supporting better working conditions for bus drivers and others working in extreme heat.
My interview with @Kumail_Jaffer at MyLondon.
If chosen as Mayoral candidate I will campaign on fixing London’s police and on cheaper housing, especially for young people who have had the worst time in recent years.
It is a scandal that rapists and abusers almost always get away with their terrible crimes. The Mayor has failed and no other party takes this issue seriously.

Last week, I had the privilege of making my first big speech on the main stage at Lib Dem Conference. I shared my story and how it motivates me to fight for a fairer deal for families across the country.
We initially thought the footage had been lost but a big thank you to @SkyNews for recovering it!
We Liberal Democrats will only succeed if we take tough choices.
My speech on party strategy at #ldconf.
Conference - there's a lot of good stuff in this motion.
There's also a glaring hole. The motion says we need a clearer identity. Absolutely.
ALT Rob Blackie speaking to Liberal Democrat conference
Today we need to make difficult choices again.
We can't offer more spending on social care and tax cuts.
We can't be a party that appeals to people who always vote Conservative AND the party that appeals to people who always vote Labour.
We can't be a party that is radical in its bones AND yet hides its values for fear of offending people.
So Conference, we should vote for this motion, there's a lot of good in it.
And we should recognise that the job has only just begun.
An awful 80 children died in temporary accommodation in London last year and 75,000 families are living in often terrible conditions.
We can change that by building more homes & bringing down rents.
Exclusive: @robblackie launches bid to become Lib Dem candidate for Mayor of London - again.
He ran in 2024 for the party, coming third - their best result since 2008.
He says he is motivated to run due to the "failures" of Sadiq Khan.

At the last election, as Mayoral candidate, I beat the Greens for the first time since 2008.
We can do better in 2028 - but it will need a bold campaign, focused on fixing London’s police and on cheaper housing.
Thanks very much to everybody who joined today's Stockwell community clear up - where people were so enthusiastic it was hard to stop them tidying at the end!

And thanks for support from @mlcenterprise@brixtonbid
ALT Stockwell clear up team with less than half the rubbish we cleared up!
I’m so proud of our Lib Dem group on Lambeth council, keeping a key manifesto promise and proposing their ‘resident sign-off’ motion tonight.
This policy would revolutionise the deal Lambeth residents get, putting power back into their hands. 🧡 instagram.com/reel/Daz9MmJtK…
