I agree 100% about not trying to pass laws to regulate AI. Government oversight is enough. AI is already playing a huge part in our future and has been for sometime now. Anyone that owns a smart phone, computer, and many other products including self driving car knows it if they possess one lick of common sense at all. Let these companies regulate themselves. AI companies need be responsible and liable for their own products. Passing regulatory laws only helps China and the AI developers by passing some liability onto the taxpayers, and helps cripple small startup companies from competition. This hoax that AI is going to kill us all in a few years is just as bad as a climate hoax in believing that expensive regulations are going to fix it. There’s no regulations our government can impose to force other countries to comply with US laws.

I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around. I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it. Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose.These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought. We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!! Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ?? Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity." Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in. When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided. My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress. Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country. People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. We need to stop placing all the blame on foreign wars for causing our high fuel prices. We have record high crude oil supplies but our refining capacity is basically tapped out, it is running at 97%. The problem is with having too many low IQ government officials with zero long term foresight, stupid thinking like the green new climate hoax scam, overregulation and not adding new refining facilities. Total U.S. operable refining capacity rose from about 17.1 million barrels per calendar day around 2004–2005 to a peak near 19 million in 2019–2020, then settled around 18.2 million as of early 2026. That’s a net gain of roughly one million barrels a day, driven almost entirely by expansions and debottlenecking at existing plants rather than new refineries. The last major greenfield refinery was built in the 1970s; the newest operating one is a small 45,000-barrel-a-day unit that started in 2022. Diesel-specific downstream capacity followed a similar pattern—up from roughly 4.0 million barrels per stream day in 2004 to about 4.43 million today, with most of the growth in hydrotreating and distillate units. Recent closures of refineries, especially in California, have trimmed refining capacity even more. The overall capacity is still not that much higher than it was twenty years ago.
