2006. Senator Obama slams the Bush Administration for not doing more workplace raids to catch and deport illegal immigrants. It appears that the Democrat party has changed a little bit over the past 20 years. 🤪

If democrats care so much about the black community, then why do they want to disarm them (anti-gun legislation), block school choice, raise property taxes, create food deserts in cities, & replace them with illegal aliens?

I am truly perplexed that so many people are against mosques being built... I think it should be the goal of every Western Society to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs. Thus mosques should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance. That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque, thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque. We could call one of the clubs, which would be gay, "The Turban Cowboy ", and the other a topless bar called "You Mecca Me Hot." Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork, and adjacent to that an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called "Iraq o' Ribs." Across the street there could be a lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret ", with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods. Next door to the lingerie shop there would be room for an adult sex toy shop, "Koranal Knowledge ", its name in flashing neon lights, and on the other side an off-licence called "Morehammered." All of this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us, so their mosque issue would not be a problem for others.

L'égalitarisme a creusé l'inégalité. — Les politiques de discrimination positive à Harvard : étudiants admis avec des scores très en dessous de leurs camarades, taux d'échec dispropportionné, sentiment d'imposture, ressentiment généralisé. On a saboté ceux qu'on voulait aider.

What if the biggest “win” for families in the last 50 years was actually a trap? Rory Sutherland dropped this on Alex O’Connor’s podcast: The two-income household started as a nice option. Both partners work, more money comes in. Feels great at first. Then reality shifted. Governments got double the tax. Existing homeowners watched their property values soar. House prices rose to match two salaries. Suddenly one income wasn’t enough anymore — even for high-earning singles like consultant surgeons. Families traded ~35 hours of free time per week for only modest gains in lifestyle. What began as freedom quietly became an obligation. And it left single people and parents who want to raise their own kids at a real disadvantage. This one stings because we sold it as pure progress. Personally, it makes me question how many modern “upgrades” we’ve normalized without counting the real cost — especially lost time with family. What’s something you once thought was clear progress that now feels like it came with a heavier price than we admitted?

Another day, Another Catholic Church in flames. This time, it's the historic Église Saint-Cyriaque in Montenach, France engulfed in fire. Survived both world wars and was known for historic limestone carvings and artefacts, some dating back to the 15th century.

🚨 WOW. Border Czar Tom Homan just gave the PERFECT response to Pope Leo "I'm a lifelong Catholic. I wish they'd STAY OUT of immigration, they don't know what they're talking about." "Because if they wore my shoes for 40 years, and talked to a 9-year-old girl that got r*ped multiple times, or stood in the back of a tractor trailer with 19 dead aliens at my feet, including a 5-year-old boy that baked to death, if they understood the atrocities that happened on the open border, I think their opinion would change!" "And I welcome discussion with any of them, because they don't understand illegal immigration is not a victimless crime." "Where President Trump had the most secure border in the lifetime of this nation, right now, lives are being saved. He's saving thousands of lives a year because he has a secure border!" "Human traffickers are out of business, right? The cartels are going bankrupt because of that secure border. I wish they'd understand that." "Because if they did, I think they'd have a different opinion." Mic drop.

Five things I've found almost no Europeans know (and lots of Americans don't either) that warps the view of America vs. Europe: - The distance from NYC to LA is as great as the distance from Moscow to Lisbon; - If you measure across all of Europe (excluding Russia, which would make the comparison worse for Europe), not just within each country, income inequality is greater than in the US, even though Europe is geographically smaller; - The overwhelming majority of Americans have much greater access to insured quality healthcare than the median European; - Disposable household income in the poorest US state, Mississippi, is higher than in any country in Europe that is as large or larger than Rhode Island; - How federalism works in the U.S. Ignorance on these 5 simple issues alone explains much of how people (incorrectly) view life in the U.S. vs. life in Europe.

After the Trump Tax Cuts, the share of taxes paid by the rich went UP. Data from the House Ways and Means Committee shows lower income Americans saw larger tax relief. Facts matter, even if Democrats won’t admit it.

So I’ve heard home healthcare providers are required to have a physical address and a sign, even if the owner works out of their house and all the employees are at patient homes. Is that true and a possible explanation for some of these vacant offices?

This analysis is spot on. "...with virtually no financial support this time, and unwilling to appear for GOP debates, Bailey will carry the Republican banner straight to the garbage heap in November if he prevails in the GOP primary...If Republican primary voters hand Bailey the nomination again, they will not simply be making a mistake. They will be making the same mistake — with full knowledge of the consequences — and handing J.B. Pritzker another four years before the ballots are even printed." +++ Adding to the @ChicagoContrar1 review, the password is "suburbs" and here are the key data points: Pritzker beat Bailey by 33 points in suburban Cook and decisively in every collar county, including three– DuPage, Kane, and McHenry– where Pritzker had lost to Rauner in 2018. In 2022, Bailey received about 120,000 fewer Chicago metro votes than Rauner in his 2018 loss. That was after Rauner had repelled his base and all but gave up his re-election bid en route to being blown out. It was decidedly a messenger problem. Messages on the SAFE-T Act, taxes, school choice resonated. For example, Pritzker reversed course during the campaign and expressed an openness to amending the SAFE-T Act (which he subsequently did post-election, admittedly of the perfume-on-a-pig variety) because it was hurting him. Pritzker also hedged on tax credit scholarships during the campaign and dumped any motion he would again seek to graduate the state income tax. But Bailey couldn't carry those issues or any other. He was a tone-deaf gaffe-machine and unwilling to learn. A bad combo. This time around, he has none of the attributes he had last time (donor and grassroots support) but retains all of the deficiencies that are directly attributable to him. He is solely living off residual awareness from four years ago. His supporters come from two camps: (1) those who lack the intellectual curiosity to investigate the race, and (2) those who are baffled by the plot twists in Jim Varney movies. In sum, to renominate Bailey is to concede not only defeat but partisan dignity. chicagocontrarian.com/blog/d…

Mr @NYCMayor, I say it as an Iranian New Yorker: You are a human garbage. When our people were getting slaughtered and hunted like animals by the Islamic Republic terrorists, you stayed silent. You didn't say a word. Now that the regime, the murderers of our people are under attack, you came out of the woodwork to defend them. You are an Islamist human garbage and I fight your agenda as long as I breathe.
Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war.  Americans do not want this. They do not want another war in pursuit of regime change. They want relief from the affordability crisis. They want peace. I am focused on making sure that every New Yorker is safe. I have been in contact with our Police Commissioner and emergency management officials. We are taking proactive steps, including increasing coordination across agencies and enhancing patrols of sensitive locations out of an abundance of caution. Additionally, I want to speak directly to Iranian New Yorkers: you are part of the fabric of this city — you are our neighbors, small business owners, students, artists, workers, and community leaders. You will be safe here.

NEW: Two ratings agencies hit Chicago with credit downgrades today. Why? One major reason: The $11B in pension sweeteners signed into law by Gov. JB Pritzker following token opposition from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson’s administration last year. I predicted this would trigger a downgrade when Pritzker signed the bill. Yet the Chicago Teachers Union and others are in Springfield right now lobbying for further pension sweeteners. Our political leaders are selling out the city’s future in exchange for political support from government unions. This has to stop.
BREAKING: Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker just signed the Chicago pension sweetener bill, buried in a Friday news dump. This will almost certainly contribute to another credit downgrade for the city, adding $11B in liabilities to the worst-funded local pension systems in the nation. Utter lack of leadership from the governor.

🚨FLASHBACK🚨 Ever wondered how TSA was allowing illegal aliens to board commercial flights without IDs under the Biden regime? Well I sued TSA to find out and learned that Biden’s DHS allowed CONVICTED sex offenders on to flights by showing their sex offender paperwork. Predators were allowed into the country if they promised to take sexual deviancy counseling and register as a sex offender. After suing TSA, I won and now the agency is covering my legal fees. Currently, TSA says they can’t pay my lawyer right now due to the shut down.
