There is a very disturbing trend being seen in early voting. Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio are reporting difficulties getting the machines to accept democratic votes. The machines change them back to Republican unless the voter persists, pressing several times to get the correct vote to go through. Check your machine, check to see that it accepted the correct vote. Make sure your voice counts.

North Carolina!! If you voted by mail, go to vote.org/ballot-tracker-tool… to track whether your ballot was rejected over minor technical issues. If it was, you can still vote in person!

The young people who are being blamed for having anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions are the teenagers of the lockdown period, during which, Helen Whately demonstrated staggering incompetence at the Department of health and social care. And yet she has the nerve to continually attack them.

Alastair Campbell, "Steve Witkoff is a disgrace. Tens of thousands of Ukrainian children have been taken to Russia and Steve Witkoff calls Putin a humanitarian" "The Americans (Trump) speak about Putin in a way which is diametrical to the way they speak about Zelenskyy" "Trump has decided that this war has to end with Ukraine losing" "Trump has contempt for Zelenskyy because he's a proper leader with values and integrity, and all the things Donald Trump doesn't stand for" My view: Witkoff calling Putin a humanitarian is bad enough. But it fits the way Trump’s team now talks about this war: praise for the man who invaded Ukraine, contempt for the leader defending it. Trump says he wants the war to end. But if the price of that “peace” is Ukraine losing territory, security and its freedom to choose its own future, then it is not a fair settlement. It is rewarding aggression. Zelenskyy is a leader fighting for his country’s survival. Trump’s hostility towards him says far more about Trump’s values than it does about Zelenskyy’s.

While thousands of elderly people died unnecessarily in old folks homes, Matt Hancock was dishing out multi-£Million taxpayer funded contracts to... ➡️his pub landlord mate, ➡️his horsey friend, ➡️his sister's company ➡️and the brother of his mistress. Why isn't he in the jail?

This morning, Pina Picierno, Vice-President of the European Parliament, began a hunger strike to draw attention to the situation in the Ukrainian city of Oleshky, which is under Russian occupation, and to help save the lives of civilians, including children. Russia is starving the city's residents. Her decision comes in response to Pope Leo XIV's appeal for a ceasefire and efforts to save the people of Oleshky. Residents must receive food and medicine, and those who are able and wish to leave must be allowed to do so. Thank you, Pina! Let's come together and try to save these people. They are eating crows and grass. People are dying in the streets and in their own homes. There are children there. We can spread information about what is happening in Oleshky. Journalists can report on the situation. We can reach out to members of parliament and political leaders in our countries. We must ensure that humanitarian aid reaches Oleshky and that civilians can evacuate safely. #SaveOleshky

POST OFFICE SEARCHED HIS HOME FOR £85K You fight off an armed robber and get an award. Then you get home and strangers are searching your house. They work for the @PostOffice and they are hunting for £85K. Meet Tom Brown, a postmaster from Stanley in County Durham with 30 years of service. In 2008 he ran the North Kenton branch in Newcastle. A branch audit said £85K was missing, and the Post Office decided he had taken it. For over a year he rang the Post Office helpline 2 or 3 times a month about missing cash. The helpline told him it would come back by itself. It never did. The Post Office suspended him the next day and sent a team to search his house. Tom Brown told them a man about to lose everything has no spare £85K lying around, and invited them to look. He was arrested too, then charged with false accounting, which is a posh way of saying fiddling the books. Picture strangers going through your home for cash you know you never took. Then picture your name splashed across the local papers next to the word stealing. Tom Brown later told the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry @PostOffInquiry that the shortfalls carried on after the Post Office put its own staff into the branch. He took that as a sign it was not him. Fair guess. In 2013 the Post Office dropped the case at Newcastle Crown Court and offered no evidence. It took nearly 5 years to notice it had none. The judge told him he would no doubt take it further. By then he had lost his business and his home and gone bankrupt. Reports put the total loss at around £500K. He ended up in social housing with his son and grandchildren. Tom Brown died in late 2023, weeks before the @ITV drama Mr Bates vs The Post Office put the whole scandal into every living room. His compensation was still not finalised. All he asked for in his Inquiry statement was proper compensation and for someone to take accountability. His MP Kevan Jones told Parliament he never lived to see the compensation he deserved. That is how the Post Office says thank you. Sources @ChronicleLive @ComputerWeekly and others.

Of course, we are not losing this war. But we are losing people. Because of the Russian attacks, we're losing people and time. It's such a pity, because our children don't have a real life and childhood. Not only children, but all people. That's why we need to end this war as quickly as possible. I hope that our partners, Americans and Europeans, will help us. God bless, our strong soldiers stay strong on the battlefield. It helps me stay strong during any kind of negotiations.

Look at this chart 👇 Many if not most of the children on DLA will go onto PIP. Around half of children who get DLA become NEETs. There’s a clear path from child DLA to PIP to a lifetime on benefits. We must change this.
