Ik this is what happens more often, but it has happened to me that the only GOOD media of a character I like is BL bc the fem!reader I find is cringy or boring 😭 That's when I just go "yeah, I'm a he now, and I have a huge d¡ck too, whatever" (I don't care about my pronouns tbf)

Then there's the trans specific x readers... (usually they defaault to treating the insert as feminine even if its more implied the trans insert is a trans man) (Haven't read x readers in years so no clue if that's changed at all)
