Vrij schokkend om te lezen. Geschreven met een enorme vooringenomenheid. De frame is duidelijk: de Spaanse bevolking is xenofoob en de vluchtelingen zijn zielig. Woorden als ‘driftig gedeeld’ . Video’s van mishandelingen van de lokale bevolking worden gedeeld, maar zijn natuurlijk ‘moeilijk te controleren’. Bewoners ‘zoeken de confrontatie’. De opdracht van de chef was hier duidelijk: zet de vluchtelingen neer als slachtoffer en de lokale bevolking als dader. Of nog erger: de schrijver vindt het zelf prima zo en er is geen chef die zegt: ho Ashwant, dit kan echt niet zo. objectiviteit is ver te zoeken bij thema’s als bv migratie klimaat. Niet de feiten zijn leidend, maar hoe het moet zijn. Wat wenselijk is. Het neigt soms naar desinformatie volkskrant.nl/buitenland/bew…
