Went to see Sir Roy Strong at Wigmore Hall but he was replaced by Alistair Campbell, bagpipe-playing. Iโ€™ve never been the same since.

A&E is no longer 24hrs - although they will tell you it is. My latest experiences at QEII Hospital tell me the doctors do not come on shift until 8:00am. Make yourself as comfortable as you can at home and if you're not dead by morning, take yourself to hospital.
I think A&E in the UK is designed as a test. Only if you are genuinely ill and in need of medical help will you wait for 10+ hours to be treated. The idea that people use A&E as an โ€˜easy optionโ€™ first port of call is laughable.

#antiquesroadshow Eric, that sure as hell isn't a boater is it?

They said this performance was โ€œdoubly better than last weekโ€. Now, I didnโ€™t see last week but Iโ€™m presuming the only way this could be an improvement was he just stood still. #strictly

#thesubstance was all a bit Cronenberg and I understand there is now #thewickerman with my gorgeous old dance partner Lindsay Kemp, bless him.

Every now and then the @BBC comes up with something surprising that says, yes, your licence fee is worth it. Maybe it is awful (or not), but I have been wanting to see #thesubstance for some time and here it is on @BBCTwo tonight.

Hannah Fry has supreme patience. Not only has she been dropped in the doo-doo by Jerry Hall in this show, but she also graciously sat for the most horrendous portrait of herself by the winner of #paoty last year. #celebritytraitors

Tbf, the poor woman did not look well to start the show. I wish her well but O'Leary is doing an outstanding job now. #thismorning

If they were going by the rules, Richard should have been kindly told to walk. OK, he wouldnโ€™t have liked it but they have just created a two-tier-Traitors. #celebritytraitors

Richard, remember that bit in the oath that says you wonโ€™t tell anyone youโ€™re a traitor? #celebritytraitors

And to think this man built some sort of tech empire. He wants everyone in the army to join the prison service and police force and, apparently, leave the country totally undefended.
I am often asked what my priority would be if I was the prime minister. 1. Build 5 large modern day prisons. 2. While the prisons are under construction I would recruit 10,000 police and place them through a detailed training program to make their jobs recognised professionals. 3. While the prisons are being built.Recruit prison officers and make and pay them into respected professionals. 4. I would find the money by cutting back on military expenditure. In fact I would offer soldiers to apply for police or prison officer jobs. 5. My understanding of asylum seekers is that if they are trying to leave an oppressed county where they are in danger, they are supposed to go to nearest safe county. The people arriving on the shores of the UK have passed through plenty of safe countries. I would ask the Royal Navy to stop them arriving. Comments please . No jokers thanks Lord Sugar

This man is a hero. Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit. Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers. Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives. Indian. Israeli. Emirati. Different nationalities. One extraordinary act of courage. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช We wish Captain Machchhar a full and speedy recovery.

Yaniv will have done his military service and thus, as Free Palestiners! have regularly wailed, been an "IDF soldier". A damned good thing that he was.

A shame for Armitage, a decent actor. #winter began with a bad multiple cut-to climbing scene (with an obvious stuntman) and now we have our protagonist leaning over a female corpse creepily murmuring โ€œhello, Julieโ€.
