When spotify released in Russia in 2017-18, they thought it's dead market, because pirating music there is norm... That was one of most successful starts of branch in history of Spotify. If not for war, russian branch would've remained very high in top by revenue and popularity.

What’s very annoying is that the narrative completely ignores the will of the countries in the middle, as if they didn’t matter and it’s only a struggle of two opposite sides. If anything those countries begged NATO and NATO burocracy often refused. Those that got delayed or refused were the ones invaded. Those added into NATO are not only safe but their welfare and standard of living is booming.

We are not bombing countries with nuke-scale weaponry, so no. We don't. Also, you all have no problem using Windows, 30% of which is AI with large amount of gen probably getting trained on private GitHub repo's.

And that's leaving alone child labor used for gold mining for everything starting from your phone, ending with your "green" energy. Do artist community care about that? Not much. You care about AI art because it's stealing from you specifically. Well, most people aren't artists.

NUCLEAR POWER. IT DOESN'T CARE IF THE SUN'S SHINING OR THE WIND'S BLOWING. IT DOESN'T NEED BATTERIES FULL OF COBALT OR LITHIUM DUG UP BY CONGOLESE CHILD SLAVES IN CHINESE-OWNED MINES. AND IT HAS LOWER LIFETIME GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS THAN SOLAR, AND ABOUT THE SAME AS WIND. IT'S NOT EVIL DEVIL MAGIC. IT'S METAL THAT GETS HOT AND BOILS WATER TO MAKE STEAM THAT TURNS TURBINES. THERE'S NO SMOKE. THE SHIT THAT COMES OUT OF THE COOLING TOWER IS JUST STEAM. NUCLEAR PRODUCES AT LEAST A HUNDRED TIMES LESS RADIOACTIVE POLLUTION THAN COAL WHICH CONTAINS TRACE RADIOACTIVE ELEMENTS WHICH GO INTO THE AIR WHEN BURNED. NUCLEAR POWER DOESN'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE ALL NUCLEAR WASTE IS CONTAINED, AND NO NUCLEAR WASTE CASKET HAS EVER LEAKED IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICAN NUCLEAR POWER. NUCLEAR POWER IS SAFE. IT'S EFFECTIVE. IT DOES LESS DAMAGE TO THE ENVIRONMENT THAN COAL, OR EVEN WIND AND SOLAR WHICH REQUIRE A FUCK TON OF LAND AND TOXIC METALS FOR WHICH WE HAVE NO PLAN TO DEAL WITH. NUCLEAR POWER IS THE CLOSEST THING TO A PERFECT ENERGY SOURCE THE HUMAN SPECIES HAS EVER DISCOVERED. WE'VE HAD THE TECHNOLOGY SINCE THE 1950S. IF WE EMBRACED IT FROM THE START, WE WOULDN'T HAVE CLIMATE CHANGE TODAY. WE COULD HAVE HAD ALL OF THE AIR CONDITIONING WE EVER WANTED, ALONG WITH EVERY OTHER MODERN CONVENIENCE WE'RE CONSTANTLY SHAMED FOR TODAY. BUT WE SAID NO. WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE DOING AS A SPECIES? ARE WE FUCKING RETARDED?
i hate how the current conversation around heatwaves is planting trees for shade and getting aircon rather than how are we gonna stop the temperatures from increasing even further

Emmanuel Macron: “If you bomb countries because you disagree with their regime, it opens a Pandora’s box. Iran is a bad regime, but bombing doesn’t work. Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya — 20 years of interventions have produced no results. Change must come from within, from the people. We do not want to depend on China’s dominance or be overly vulnerable to the unpredictability of the United States. France does not want to be a vassal of any power. There is a ‘third path’ — uniting Korea, Europe, Canada, Japan, India, Brazil, and Australia. It’s a format for countries that do not want to depend on China or automatically side with the U.S. France is facing growing risks due to Russia’s war against Ukraine. China is trying to control supply chains and critical minerals. The United States is reshaping trade through tariffs and extraterritorial measures.”

The news that Orbán’s people inform Moscow about EU Council meetings in every detail shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. We’ve had our suspicions about that for a long time. That’s one reason why I take the floor only when strictly necessary and say just as much as necessary.

You want to calculate what Ukraine “costs”? Fine. Let’s calculate what the guarantors of the Budapest Memorandum owe Ukraine. People who complain about “how much the West spends on Ukraine” forget one thing: Ukraine has already paid the highest possible price for promises that were never fulfilled. ⸻ 1. What Ukraine gave up under the Budapest Memorandum Ukraine surrendered the world’s third-largest nuclear arsenal: • 1,900 strategic nuclear warheads • 176 ICBMs • 44 Tu-160 / Tu-95MS strategic bombers • Full launch, storage, and command infrastructure Current value: $2–4 trillion. Yes — trillion. Ukraine traded this arsenal for security guarantees from the US, UK, and Russia. Guarantees that cracked in 2014 and completely collapsed in 2022. ⸻ 2. How much the US has spent on Ukraine In 11 years of war, the total US support amounts to: $80–90 billion. For comparison: Ukraine gave up a nuclear deterrent worth 30–50 times more. ⸻ 3. How US support has been restricted For years, Ukraine was denied critical tools needed for survival: • ATACMS long-range missiles • F-16 fighter jets • Adequate Patriot air-defense systems • Permission to strike inside Russia (only partially allowed in 2024–25) These delays cost thousands of Ukrainian lives and entire cities that could have been saved. ⸻ 4. The real cost of war for Ukraine In 11 years: • 450,000+ killed and wounded • Over 50% of energy infrastructure destroyed • Trillion-dollar economic losses • Factories, investments, and human capital wiped out • A development trajectory comparable to Poland’s — shattered not only by Russian missiles but also by Western hesitation ⸻ 5. So who really owes whom? Ukraine never asked for charity. Ukraine asked its guarantors to honor their own signatures. While the US and UK insisted the Budapest Memorandum “was not binding,” Russia prepared for a full-scale invasion. Today, Ukraine is defending: • NATO’s entire eastern flank • Europe’s energy routes • The Black Sea • The global security system the United States built after WWII Ukraine is presenting the real bill: for cities erased, for millions of lives broken, for decades of development stolen — and for the security guarantees that existed only on paper. And that bill is not for Ukraine to pay. It is for those who promised protection — and failed to deliver it. Author: Yuliya Azizova

Saw twitch notification. Clicked. See streamer for 5 second's, then 2 minutes of ad's. "I live bc of ad's" is fair, I have no problem with that. But if my first impression of you is what I described, then there's nothing convincing to stay longer, tbh.

That's just ridiculous, it's like start of stream right after intro. So, this is usually "hi, streamer"/"hi, chat" time. And 2 whole minutes out of that goes to shitty ad's.

Again, run ad's - you need to earn money somehow, I have no problem. But there's should be less "fuck non-subs" way. 2 minutes is ok for intro itself when you not presented yet, for brb and so on. Not right after people opened your stream But you do you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@A_dmg04 will team do anything to glaives? We didn't got any since EoF launch. And let's face reality: "rework to glaives" introduced in EoF made them even more niche then ever before.

Prismatic hunter doesn't need glaive - it will be miles less damage than without it, you can't even grapple melee on glaive. That wasn't rework, that was huge nerf to already underperforming weapon type. And winterbite... Why nerf it even further?

I just don't have word's, honestly. It feels especially frustrating as for warlock main. I wanted rework, I waited for it. To get... this? -40% to melee damage and slightly better projectile tracking? Sorry, but glaive projectile's only good at opening door's in SD dungeon.
