a lot of movies seem terrified of letting a scene exist without a purpose. everything has to reveal character, advance the plot, establish a theme or foreshadow something. sometimes a scene can just be people sitting around talking nonsense. cinema could use more useless moments

I think this falls under “let people enjoy things” it’s a fun thing and it encourages ppl to go to the movies instead of waiting for it on streaming. It’s not like they’re taking.

Actually we were taught to believe that the witch trials are a tragic example of why due process is so important, and also taught that witches don't fucking exist. Both of these lessons are true BTW. Getting into "witchcraft" doesn't make you a member of a persecuted minority.

It's pretty hilarious that the show failed because the show runner had zero experience with leadership in film making and bullied her way into the job because she was the chick who wrote the Pickle Rick episode.
