Billionaire Ken Griffin, who gave Harvard $300 million last year: “I’m not interested in supporting the institution.” He asks if Harvard will return to educating young people to be leaders or remain “lost in the wilderness” of DEI.

A bit more, in which he addresses protests and the hearing in Congress on antisemitism:
Ken Griffin on protests at MSK Cancer Center & Harvard: “The fact that people protested at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where humanity wages war against cancer, tells you just how sick these fanatics are.” “There is no room in my world for antisemitism and for calls for genocide.”

But will Ken Griffin demand that his name be taken off Harvard's GRIFFIN Graduate School of Arts and Sciences @HarvardGSAS until Harvard gets over identity politics and returns to education? Don't hold your breath.

Perfect response. The fact that this fundamentally basic moral clarity is confusing to GenZ, Is precisely the problem.

🔅 1. UNRWA is jihadist terror tool. For 70 years, it's indoctrinated youth to hate, kill, and be disposable pawns in a battle to destroy Israel and beyond. 🔅2. Thousands of UNRWA staff participated in or supported the Oct 7th atrocities. This is a direct result of the billions in "aid" spent on hate indoctrination and the militarization of Gaza society. 🔅3. Instead of re-settling its refugees, UNRWA forces them and all their descendants to be refugees forever. It indoctrinates kids to believe they must destroy Israel if they ever want a home. 🔅4. This perpetual refugee status is unprecedented and different than how all other refugees are treated - including the 100 million aided by UNHCR, the UN's main refugee agency. 🔅5. In the past century, there were 1,000,000+ Jewish refugees from Arab countries. None are now seen as "refugees" or to have a "right to return". They've all resettled in Israel or other countries. 🔅6. Funding UNRWA destroys the lives of Arab children who become indoctrinated with hate and violence for life. It destroys the societies where it operates, and brings forever conflicts to the region. 🔅7. UNRWA is irredeemable. It's aided and abetted the worst ideologies and atrocities for decades. Hamas and UNRWA must both be eliminated for there to be a chance at real peace and stability. #DefundUNRWA #DisbandUNRWA

Should have thought about that when they let the communists in. Whoever thought that Xi Jinping's daughter - a #CCPChina princess, would be a great addition to the student roster. These billionaire temper tantrums are too little, too late.

Why do these people (Bill Ackman another) just mindlessly give this much money to a school that clearly doesn't need *any* more outside money? And then complain that they had no idea what was going on even though it's been all over the internet for years now. Makes no sense.

May I suggest funding pure mathematics? And tie some nondiscrimination language to the money.

He also gave Nikki Haley five million. Regard him accordingly.

I never understand why people like this give so much money to Harvard given the billions they already have. Is it just to have status or influence within the Harvard community or what? There are so many other causes that 300 million dollars could go to.

It’s funny how all these Jewish billionaires suddenly had a problem with Harvard only after the post-October 7 protests. Before then they supported and pushed DEI hard. Larry Fink still does.

Griffin himself is lost in the wilderness. (1) It's been decades since Harvard educated leaders; it educates SJW saboteurs of USA. (2) Griffin realized only now what Harvard is about? For 30 yrs now I answer the annual letter to alumni with an explanation why I won't give a dime

More donors need to do this to all these schools. Also employers need to stop hiring recent and future ivy grads till they ho back to the business of educating students not indoctrinating them

I'd add a few other conditions to the funding issue. 1-review every management position and the need for each employee to reduce the bloat & cost of education. 2-Review each degree offered and ask, 'Can a graduate get a job with this degree & payoff their loans?'

I'd like to see him go a step more and take the money he's been donating to Harvard and spread it among the many world class institutions across the country that don't bow to the DEI gods. Maybe some high achievers at those universities could take advantage of scholarships.

It will be most interesting if big important employers started discovering they can find smart, talented, self-driven employees from Colleges & Universities that don’t have the same exalted reputation as the Ivies.

I don’t think Harvard will ever regain their ethos and credibility after being infected with the parasitic DEI virus. Let that be a beacon of warning to the rest of American institutions out there.

"I would Rather Be Governed By the First 2,000 People in the Boston Telephone Directory than by the Harvard University Faculty.” William F. Buckley Jr. made this statement decades ago, more true today than then.
