I have submitted a question to ask the Scottish Government to provide evidence that a school bag will close the attainment gap. Character bags can cost between £11-£15 Branded rucksacks between £15-£20 Why are they squandering taxpayers money?!

Buying them in from China and yet they're still costing £28 a bag... Somebody is pocketing a lot of cash in the chain.

The promotion of Alex Sobel to Chair of the Joint Committee on Human Rights and Olivia Bailey to Chair of the Women & Equalities Select Committee is a clear sign that Labour MPs are only interested in men’s rights. Neither of these two very prejudiced MPs give a damn about women.

Criminals dumped 200 tonnes of rubbish on an 80-year-old farmer's field in Hertfordshire, and the law sent him the bill. 40 lorryloads over 3 nights from 7 June last year, on a field edge near St Albans that he had put into a government scheme to grow seed for wild birds. Roofing sheets, bathroom fittings, house clearances, medical waste, and sheets of what looked like asbestos. He had just lost his wife. He would not give the papers his name because the people who did it know where the field is. The council could not find them. So it wrote to him, because it could find him, and told him that if the waste was not cleared he would be prosecuted. The same rule runs in every county, and it is written on gov.uk: waste dumped on your land is yours to remove, at your cost, and the Environment Agency will not touch a tip that size. The quotes came back at £40,000 to £50,000. He said, plainly, that he did not have it. In England there were 1,152,617 fly-tipping incidents in 2024. 1,598 ended in a prosecution. About 1 in 700. The criminals vanish. The man with the deeds is in the phone book. Then a 31-year-old called Archie Ford, with no farm and no reason, read the story and opened a fundraising page. £30,000 came in the first day from nearly 1,000 people. £50,000 in 3 days. Almost 2,000 donors in the end. In March he drove out to meet the farmer, and by June the field was clear and the money left over was set aside for the next victim, because there will be one. This week is Rural Crime Action Week and the NFU has put his case back on the table, because nothing in the rule that produced it has moved. 2,000 strangers understood in a day what the statute book has not understood in 36 years of the Environmental Protection Act. A field is not a crime scene you have to pay to attend.

“I am lucky that I have the potential to leave. The girls in school with boys in their bathrooms and sports competitions, the women in prison with male rapists, and every Australian woman who has had her sex-based rights abolished can’t leave. I will fight with every Australian woman until our rights are restored.” Full interview 👇

Today I asked the Government two very simple and direct questions. Do they agree with me that men coming here illegally pose a direct threat to the safety of British women and girls? Do they agree with me that men who came here illegally and need a LEAFLET to ask them not to rape women and girls should instead be immediately deported? Watch for yourself - Labour couldn’t answer. British women and girls deserve better.

"The Proclaimers: The trans lobby are truth-phobic ... Craig didn’t vote SNP for the first time since 1983. That reason was “the anger that I still feel that they passed a self ID bill which was so bad”. He’s talking about the 2022 Gender Recognition Reform Bill that makes it easier for individuals to change their legal gender. “It’s so badly done that it inevitably led to violent men, including convicted rapists, being sent to women’s prison. For me, that is unforgivable.” This particular topic, in turn, informed the writing of the album’s title track. You May Offend is about what the twins see as the imperilment of free speech. “Just by giving out the thoughts in your head,” croons Craig in the sweeping ballad, “you may reach a point where some will wish you dead.” “There’s women, actual women, who are threatened with violence – sometimes get violence – and de-platformed because they have the temerity to say that a woman is an adult human female,” says Craig. “And they are shouted down by 0.5 per cent in a population who are male and who think that because they put on a dress, and they put on make-up, that that makes them a female.” “People have lost their careers over that,” says Charlie. “Linehan was the obvious one. None of his pals stood up for him. I wouldn’t agree with everything Linehan says any more than I would do with JK Rowling,” he continues of the Harry Potter author, whose vociferous support of women’s rights, like Linehan’s, has led to her being pilloried by the trans lobby. “But you’ve got the right to stand up for science and logic. And in his case, it’s a tragedy. He lost his career for telling the truth.” They insist that they say this not with bile. “It’s incredulity at a lot of what’s going on,” clarifies Craig, although he will allow that their views could be a function of age. “Anybody, as they get older, maybe that [feeling] does take over. You don’t understand the way that the world is now the way that you did before. Maybe that’s true. But some of the stuff I see now, it’s laughable.” Nonetheless, whatever your age, thinks Charlie, “you have to stand up to say, ‘I disagree.’ Or, ‘I very much agree with this person.’ And you take the consequences.” He highlights the public distancing from Rowling of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, the former child stars of the Harry Potter films – or, as he pithily describes them, “those f---ing bairns who Rowling made massive fortunes [for]… It was not necessary that each of them stood up and agreed with her. But you would have thought someone would stand up and say, ‘We live in a free country. Thank goodness we have freedom of speech. She is exercising her right to a point of view. I do not necessarily support it. But I support her right to say something.’ I don’t remember any of them saying anything [like that].” This, explains Craig, is why he wrote You May Offend. “We’re getting the stage now where people are getting scared to say what they think because people are being cancelled. Because people have been prosecuted or threatened by prosecution.” ... Having known them for so long, I wouldn’t have said that the Reids have a discriminatory bone in their body. Grumpy old men, perhaps. Still: is Craig not worried that, in saying these things, he’s presenting as transphobic? “I’m not transphobic. I’m not against a man identifying as a woman, dressing as a woman. I’m not against any of that. All I’m against is saying that he actually is a woman when he’s not a woman. A lot of these folk are basically truth-phobic. They’ll deny the biological reality. Then if you insist on it, they’ll say that you are hurting their feelings. That you’re disrespecting them. But I respect reality and scientific fact, not myth.” ... “I think it’s the Left losing their collective mind. JK Rowling: I think she was absolutely wrong on Scottish independence and has been proved wrong. But I think she’s absolutely right on women’s rights rights" telegraph.co.uk/music/interv…

This clip is John Swinney on BBC Scotland’s The Sunday Show today. After announcing plans to slash Scotland’s 14 territorial health boards down to two, he was pressed on how many NHS jobs would go and how he would close a forecast £5 billion hole in the public finances. He would not put a number on job losses, said public-sector employment “will fall,” and talked about “countless variables” instead of a plan. So @JohnSwinney your party has spent nearly two decades running Scotland into a £5bn black hole, and now you sit there refusing to say how many NHS jobs you’re going to axe. This isn’t reform. This isn’t about making the NHS better. This is about covering your own failure and saving your own job at the expense of thousands of hard-working NHS staff who actually treat patients. Have you no shame, man?
No answers from this utter charlatan… 🙄 Just more of the same from #DishonestJohn 🤡

Not everything has to be looked at through the lens of discrimination. Conservatives managed to choose our first woman leader 51 years ago. Meanwhile Labour are celebrating Andy Burnham as their first female Prime Minister. Claire has been promoted because she is excellent and Conservatives believe in meritocracy. If Harriet is worried about discrimination, there is plenty in her own party to keep her busy. Boris Johnson promoted me to the Treasury while I was on maternity leave in 2020. Nobody did a podcast episode on it because we didn’t think it was remarkable. He just knew I could do the job. Women do not need patronising theories to explain their success. That is the point.
Time was, @ClaireCoutinho, that women had to conceal pregnancy, fearing the sack. We fought against maternity discrimination so that women could be promoted on merit not sacked for pregnancy. I’m glad you’ve escaped mat discrimination. But it’s still a problem. How about siding with us to banish it? @ThenScrewed

Katie Lam has just exposed family voting and the creeping separatism taking root in our communities. When Lib Dem Lisa “not so” Smart attacked the English language, claiming it steals from other cultures, Lam hit back and put her firmly in her place. Stellar work from Katie.

Giving a woman on maternity leave a promotion based on talent isn’t ‘woke’, it’s common sense but I wouldn’t expect a party that has still not had a female leader to get that Well done @KemiBadenoch @ClaireCoutinho on continuing to trigger all the right people #LabourLosingWomen

Jury selection is underway in the trial of the 12 men and the man who allegedly lined them up to rape his wife or watch it. Some of them look brazen as they arrive. Some aren’t showing their faces. We should make sure we expose and widely distribute these recent images of them every day that they appear. Shame must change sides. Case adjourned to 3rd Sept whilst Jury evaluated. manchestereveningnews.co.uk/…
