It's tough to “trust” LLMs when they consistently lose the project plot.
Claude had problems today where (even on the top plan) it timed out & failed dismally.
Switched to ChatGPT and Grok & got the project done, but an absolute PITA to get what seemed simple, simply complete.

Now 6 months into "vibe coding"
First things I prompt when starting to create an app project from an idea that often hits me late at night or while showering 🚿😅
Before writing any code that integrates with a third-party API or SDK:
1. Read the SDK source code to find the exact HTTP request format - headers, body structure, auth requirements
2. Write a test script that makes the raw HTTP call and logs the full response before touching any app code
3. State your assumptions explicitly and flag which ones you haven't verified
4. If something fails twice with the same approach, stop and diagnose root cause before trying again - don't iterate on a broken foundation
5. Prefer the official SDK over manual HTTP calls unless there's a specific reason not to
Before choosing an architecture for file upload/processing:
1. State all hard platform limits upfront (Vercel 4.5MB body limit, function timeouts, etc.)
2. List at least two approaches and explain why you're choosing one over the other
3. Flag any parts you're uncertain about and suggest how to verify them before building
