PJ Fleck was asked after the game how he's able shut out the haters and continue being himself despite the heat he takes publicly.
His message, per usual, is worth a listen no matter what you think of the Minnesota Gophers' head coach.
"We will never ever, ever, ever take winning for granted... I don't think there's any reason for anybody in this world, no matter who you are, to apologize for who you are. As long as you are being the best, most authentic, most real version of yourself every day, and you're changing your best, and you're doing good in the world. You do that, don't you ever change... Be yourself."

This is a weekend that may never be seen again. I am not old enough to remember this first-hand, but I am old enough to remember 1991 and Kirby Puckett’s heroics in that WS.
Side note, I can’t tell you how good it was to hear John Gordon calling a Kirby home run on this clip.
Kirby Puckett went 6-for-6 with two home runs and two doubles in Milwaukee on this date in 1987, making him 10-for-11 with seven runs scored for the weekend.
He also had a six-hit game in 1991, making him one of just four players in MLB history with two six-hit games, and the only one since 1935.

I'm sorry we never got a chance to meet, but getting this note from Dolly really had a an impact on me. She definitely didn't have to take the time to do it. Even for a kid who mostly listened to rap music, she was an icon. A superstar in every sense. Rest easy Dolly. And thank you for the kind words.

Seems only fitting that on a day that started with dewpoints above 80, we hit 100 for the first time since June 20, 2022. The dewpoint down around 60 this afternoon is a big reason we got to 100 today as drier air warms more efficiently than humid air. #mnwx
