It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my longtime friend, Paul Giorgio.
Paul was a proud lifelong Worcester resident who dedicated so much of his life to our city and to the Democratic Party. He was a tireless campaign worker, a member of the Democratic City and State Committees, and, above all, someone who cared deeply about Worcester and the people who call it home.
I was fortunate to know Paul as a friend and to work alongside him for many years. Paul was a dear friend in the truest sense of the word. He was fiercely loyal, steadfast, and always there when it mattered. His was the kind of loyalty you never had to question, and his friendship was a gift I deeply valued and will always be grateful for.
His commitment to our city, his generosity toward others, and his love for this community will not be forgotten. Worcester has lost a true friend and a dedicated public servant, and I have lost someone whose friendship meant a great deal to me.
Gayle and I extend our deepest condolences to Paul’s partner Bernie, his family, his many friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May he rest in peace.
