I've grabbed a lot of different NFTs the last year Some pure art (ty @Jesperish) Some PFP collections (long @argonauts9999) Some a bit of both (like @squiggleDAO) It's crystal clear to me now why so many people are pushing and calling for NFTs to make a comeback... With NFTs, you could find your identity in the art but also find a community and network in a PvP-less environment NFTs lean more towards the PvE side of the spectrum Memecoins and token trenches are the opposite NFTs and artists play an additive game usually Memecoins and sh*tcoin devs play a subtractive game NFTs there is little sell shaming and a hodler mentality Memecoins there is (again) the opposite of that Turns out, humans like just having fun collecting things and networking TLDR the vibes are better when buying NFTs That's why you see more and more people prompting their return and why more people are bidding them As @vangoyaa, the fun starts when NFTs are back

We are sharing an interim update regarding an exploit identified with @limitbreak Payment Processor V2, a NFT trading protocol maintained by the company Limit Break and which Magic Eden adopted to settle trades on EVM in 2024. Magic Eden stopped using Payment Processor V2 in Oct 2024 and ceased our EVM marketplace altogether in Q1 2026. No live Magic Eden listings were impacted in this exploit. We will provide more updates as we investigate the impact further. We are also contacting Limit Break as they are the owner & maintainer of the protocol to see what other mitigations can be done, including progress on pausing transfers on the protocol. At 9AM EST today somebody abused a bug in Payment Processor V2 to steal 10 Meebits, 50 Otherdeeds, 10 WoW, and 235 Desperate Apewives. It wasn't until over 12 hours later that somebody reported it to me, and upon digging in I realized that a great many NFTs were subject to the same exploit. I got in touch with the team over at LimitBreak and they quickly paused Payment Processor V3, which was subject to the same exploit. Unfortunately, V2 was not pausable, so the only path towards protecting affected assets was to run a whitehat operation. Similarly, V3 on ApeChain is temporarily in a state where it cannot be paused, so ApeChain assets approved to V3 needed to be saved as well. All in all, we rescued 23,155 NFTs worth north of $5.7M USD. We later discovered that a similar exploit could be used in reverse to steal WETH. 660 WETH was at risk, which we unfortunately were not fast enough to recover. Apologies to those affected. Shout out to @Boomskite for flagging the initial exploit tx to me, and @coffeedev @0xjustadev and @whiteoakkong for acting quickly and assisting with the recovery. All NFTs are safely relocated. Soon, owners will be able claim them back after revoking the exploitable approvals. Addresses to revoke below.

The older I get, the more I realize what I actually care about as a collector. Provenance. History. Art. Story. Things that actually mattered in moving the space forward and that I believe will matter to my kids someday. Chromie Squiggle is Art Blocks Project #0. Snowfro created it as the piece that demonstrated what long-form generative art onchain could be. Last night I was talking to my wife about what really kicked off my collector journey, and I realized a lot of it probably goes back to when my grandpa died. He had so many things I wanted as keepsakes because that man shaped so much of what our family is about. Problem was… I’m one of the youngest grandchildren. I didn’t exactly have first dibs. Like at all. Needless to say, I had to get a little gritty and make sure I ended up with something meaningful. I got the eagle statue you see here, which, to this day, some of the older grandkids are still mad that I have. I 100% feel justified in how, where, and when it was obtained.😂 But I think that experience planted something in me. I like owning things that carry stories. Things my kids can inherit someday and understand why their dad cared about them. So why the Chromie? Pretty simple. This was the one I liked most within the price range I was comfortable with. I’ve been looking at this collection for a long time, and when you get a surge in activity, sometimes something unique pops up near the floor that catches your eye. This one did. I liked the colors and the unique fuzzy trait. I’m not going to pretend I’m an art expert who understands every little detail of generative art. I don’t. I’m learning. But the more I learn about @ArtOnBlockchain, @artblocks_io and the history behind Chromie Squiggles, the more I believe this has staying power. I also love that it’s completely different from almost everything else I own. That adds another layer to the story for me. Which one of my kids will be drawn to this someday? That’s a fun thought. Off to the Warner Vault it goes. Collectors collect.
