Kit Harington asked the Game of Thrones showrunners to build a shutdown into the final season's shooting schedule so the entire cast could attend his wedding. His argument was that the marriage was their fault, since they cast Rose Leslie as his love interest. He wasn't wrong. They met in 2012 shooting season 2 in Iceland, spending weeks in sub-zero conditions playing Jon and Ygritte. He later told Jonathan Ross "I fell in love in Iceland. I fell in love with my co-star." The part almost nobody knows is who Rose Leslie actually is. She played a wildling raised beyond the Wall with nothing to her name. In real life she's a descendant of King Charles II, her father is chief of the ancient Leslie Clan, and her family has owned their 12th-century castle for 900 years. That castle, Wardhill in Aberdeenshire, is where the reception happened in June 2018, mid-production on a final season costing around $15M per episode. Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, and Maisie Williams were all there because the schedule had been arranged around the date. The show killed Ygritte with an arrow in season 4. The marriage she started is on year 8 and two kids.

Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs Servings: 12 bombs Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 20–22 minutes Total Time: 45 minutes Ingredients For the Filling: 1 lb (450g) ground beef 1 small onion, finely diced 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp garlic powder ½ tsp salt ½ tsp black pepper 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened For the Dough: 1 lb (450g) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade) 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash) For the Garlic Parmesan Topping: 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted 3 cloves garlic, minced ¼ cup grated Parmesan 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped 1 tsp sesame seeds Pinch of salt Instructions Cook the filling. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion, cooking 5–6 minutes until beef is browned. Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook 1 minute more. Drain excess fat if needed. Make it cheesy. Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream cheese until melted and combined, then fold in shredded cheddar. The mixture should be thick and scoopable. Remove from heat and let cool completely — hot filling will tear the dough. Prep the dough. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment. Divide pizza dough into 12 equal balls. Stuff. Flatten each dough ball into a 4-inch round in your palm. Place about 2 tbsp of the cooled filling in the center. Pull the edges up around the filling and pinch firmly to seal completely. Roll gently into a smooth ball with the seam down. Arrange and wash. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart. Brush each bomb all over with beaten egg. Bake. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Make the topping. While they bake, stir melted butter, minced garlic, Parmesan, parsley, and sesame seeds together. Finish. Remove bombs from oven and immediately brush generously with the garlic Parmesan butter. Sprinkle with extra parsley and sesame seeds. Serve warm. Tips Cool the filling fully before stuffing — warm filling makes the dough soggy and hard to seal. Pinch the seams hard — any gap and cheese leaks out during baking. Don't overstuff — 2 tbsp is the sweet spot; more and they burst. Variations Swap cheddar for smoked gouda or pepper jack. Add crumbled bacon or caramelized onions into the filling. Serve with burger sauce, ketchup, or ranch for dipping.
