Claude Fable 5 will be available again globally tomorrow.
After a series of productive conversations with the US government, we're redeploying the model with a new set of classifiers to target and block more cybersecurity tasks. In the near term, some routine tasks like coding and debugging will fall back to Opus 4.8. We’ll continue to refine these classifiers over the coming weeks to reduce false positives and better distinguish genuine misuse from legitimate requests.
We’ve also begun drafting a consensus framework—with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other Glasswing partners—for assessing the severity of AI jailbreaks and how AI developers should respond to them. We invite other industry partners and model providers to join us in this effort.
Finally, we’re scaling up our collaboration with the US government on model testing and safeguards. This will include pre-release access to models and safeguards for evaluation, information sharing on jailbreaks and misuse, and dedicated resources for joint research.
Thank you to our users for your patience, and to our partners across the government, industry, and the research community who worked alongside us to make Fable 5 available again.

You joined us in 2019 as a young, modest rider full of dreams. Back then, even you could hardly have imagined those dreams would one day become reality.
You quickly proved your talent and not long after delivered the team’s greatest success by winning the Tour de France, followed by a second victory just a year later.
It seemed as if the future lay entirely at your feet until everything suddenly came to a standstill after a serious crash in the spring of 2024. Those moments must have felt endless, but you kept fighting.
A few months later you were back in the Tour, once again showing what an extraordinary fighter you are by finishing second behind perhaps the best rider in the world.
You never stopped chasing your dreams. Last summer you claimed your first La Vuelta victory and now, with the Giro d’Italia, you have completed the trilogy.
You have done yourself great honour in reaching this milestone. Achievements like these are reserved for the very best in the sport. But you have not only honoured yourself, you have also honoured the team. Your journey is now Woven Into History, marking a new chapter in our team’s history, and for that we will be forever grateful.

🧑⚖️ Článku na @Aktualnecz předcházelo víc věcí. Na Právnické fakultě jsem se sešel s několika studenty, abych navnímal, co je teda zač. Vím, že v dokumentu, který koluje internetem, to vypadá, že (cituji) je takový chodící meme. To zaznělo i v e-mailu po prvním článku.
🤵♂️ Na fakultě mi vysvětlili, jak se měl Kocanda ještě loni a předloni vydávat za studenta PF UK i za právníka, falšovat razítka, nabízet ověřování listin a další věci. A co víc, údaje, kterými se zaštiťoval, patřily advokátovi Michalu Novotnému. Stěžoval si na to skrze @CAK_cz.
📲 Okej, tomu jsem teda zavolal, ten mi potvrdil, že loni podal i trestní oznámení. Jak to dopadlo, neví se, policie mi ještě neodpověděla. Je možné, že se to odložilo. Tak jsem zavolal Kocandovi. Na číslo, které bylo na Asociaci STK, takže díky, pane Luďku Šípe!
🤷♂️ Klučina vlastně docela naučenej, chtěl všechny dotazy pak písemně, že odpoví hned, jak bude moct. Proč ne, říkám si, vlastně jsem byl zvedavej, co vykouzlí, dám mu prostor. V článku vidíte, že se nepřekvapivě vyhnul přímé odpovědi, zda falšoval razítka či nikoliv. K tomu se nevyjádřil ani po opakovaně zaslaném dotazu, ačkoliv si ho přečetl (iMessage nelže).
❌ K první odpovědi navíc připojil, že zveřejněním jména a dalších údajů nezletilého se dopouštím přestupku a odkázal na příslušné paragrafy. Jen teda je blbý, že jeho jméno je veřejně známé i tím, že je nyní součástí státní správy. A tel. číslo provalila asociace.
🎓 A ještě jedna věc. Kocandu, jenž se vydával za vysokoškoláka, muselo řešit i kolegium děkana, jelikož chodil na uzavřené semináře jen pro přihlášené studenty PF UK. Výsledkem bylo usnesení, které dávalo vyučujícím jakýsi mandát na to, aby lidi zvenčí případně pakovali pryč ze seminářů.
🔎 Mno, jak vidíte, na náctiletého borce neuvěřitelný výčet eskapád. Doteď nechápu, zda vše rodiče (tedy i pan státní tajemník Martin Kocanda) buďto ignorují, nebo dokonce podporují. Není to totiž zdaleka vše...

Coding agents are such game-changers for linux.
For almost anything that doesn't work, in the past I would have spent the afternoon, or even whole weekend, scourging forums, trying many many things, before fixing it or giving up. Now I just point codex and claude it at (and, crossing fingers, soon our model :).
Latest example: Today, I wanted to install ibkr's desktop app, a java-based monstrosity. I'm using wayland/sway on hidpi, and these two things don't go together well: fonts are awfully pixelated, and ui scale completely wrong.
ChatGPT gave up after I told it two ideas it suggested didn't work (some scaling-related env vars). Muse Spark had a nice new idea of patching its java Qt libraries, but it had outdated paths left and right. I then copy-pasted Muse Spark's idea into codex, telling codex to give it a shot and adjust as needed. And codex went ahead and did it, fetching the files out of the older versions of arch packages via curl, to patch the ibkr's built-in ones.
And it works! Now I'm enjoying the high-resolution version of the program without having to wait for months and months until the developer fixes this rare corner-case!
