CORNELL ASSAULT CASE: MATTHEW INGALLS APPEARS TO BE UMAR INGALLS OF DUBAI It appears Umar Ingalls, one of the central figures in the Cornell assault case, has been living under a different name (Matthew) in the United States. His father allegedly teaches Islamic Studies and is the Chair of Middle Eastern Studies at American University in Dubai. Matthew Ingalls, the Cornell student a Title IX panel found responsible for sexual assault and expelled, appears to be the same person I found pictured in Dubai in 2022 as Umar Ingalls. (attached) Khaleej Times, on October 28, 2022, named him as a Year 13 student at Dubai International Academy Emirates Hills and quoted him on a lunar-rover project he built with four classmates. The photo in that article matches the Cornell defendant. (khaleejtimes.com/uae/dubai-s…) According to students posting in a Cornell Reddit thread, (attached) he went by Umar, switched to Matthew after moving to the US for college, and spent his junior and senior years at Dubai International Academy. Students familiar with him have been identifying Professor Matthew Burtchaell Ingalls, Chair of Middle Eastern Studies at American University in Dubai, as his father. The timeline is consistent with that claim, although I have not seen an official public record independently confirming the relationship. (aud.edu/aud-school/school-of…) Prof. Ingalls joined the AUD faculty in fall 2016. Umar was a Year 13 student there in October 2022, so the professor had already been in Dubai for about six years by the student’s final year of high school, and he is still listed as department chair. Prof. Ingalls’ doctorate is in Islamic studies from Yale, 2011, after a master’s in Arabic studies at the American University in Cairo. He has published on late-medieval Sufism, Islamic law, and Muslim commentary, and has been co-authoring a history of Islam in Egypt. At AUD he teaches Islamic civilizations, Islamic politics, and Islam in its historical and social setting. According to the complaint, this all starts with Umar (Matthew). Jane Doe went to the Chi Phi house to see him, and investigators say he was the one who asked her to have a threesome and supplied her with more alcohol and drugs. Jonathan Newell, the other participant in that first threesome, told investigators Ingalls invited him in and that he assumed the victim had already agreed. Her complaint alleges Umar gave her more alcohol "Jamaican high proof rum" and coerced her into taking ketamine before and multiple times during the alleged assault, which she says happened while she was incapacitated. ("In her 2024 account to Cornell police, she described becoming progressively more high over the course of the night, reaching what she called nearly a 10 out of 10. “It was the most intoxicated I’ve ever been in my life,” Jane Doe told Cornell police investigators in 2024. “I felt like I was unable to make any decision.”-The Guardian) (nytimes.com/2026/10/03/nyreg…) (staradvertiser.com/2026/10/0…) Originally, Ingalls was said to be an employee of DataAnnotation. The company says he's not, he had registered as an independent contractor but was blocked from the platform in May 2024, five months before the alleged assault, and had no access afterward. The company has not said why he was blocked. According to screenshots reported on of the Chi Phi group chat, Ingalls allegedly twice invited fraternity brothers to come in and “whip it out,” later confirmed that the “shop is still open,” and allegedly shared an image of Jane Doe in a compromising position.

Thank you, Vice President @JDVance, for sharing in our pain and sorrow as we mark three years since the horrors of the October 7th terror attacks carried out by Hamas. We thank @POTUS and the United States of America for standing together with Israel and for its unwavering support for Israel’s security.
Three years ago over 1,000 Jews (including 49 Americans) were brutally murdered in Israel in one of the worst Islamic terrorist attacks of our lives. May their memory be a blessing.

I don’t know who needs to hear this…. But none of these protests pushing back the pro Hamas rallies terrorizing businesses and students in Universities and High Schools across this country would have been possible without the courageous Iranian American LIONS running out ahead of everyone first- bravely carrying Israeli and American flags - bravely wearing MAGA hats - organizing push back and shouting down the hate louder than everyone. For whatever it’s worth - sending a sincere thank you to Iranians here in the US who never lost their moral compass. I am one of so many, so grateful to you and your strong loud families… and it has forever changed the way I react when I hear Farsi, when I see an Iranian, when I hear your pain. You heard us. Most of us hear you too. ❤️🇺🇸💪 FWIW this is also why many of us respect your Shah, your decision, because we see his support too not just for you but for peace in the Middle East and here in the US. We are not only united in pain. We are united in HOPE.

The world demonizes Israel 365 days a year. Perhaps, for just one day—October 7th—the critics of Israel could take a vacation from their hysterical hatred of the world’s only Jewish State and find it within themselves to express condolences for the thousands of Israelis murdered, maimed, mutilated, raped, and abducted at the hands of Hamas.

Friendly reminder: Mahmoud Khalil, who celebrated October 7th, is still in our country, and AOC was there to welcome him home after he was released from ICE custody.

There is only one Iranian leader I have seen Israeli leaders recognize with mutual appreciation and respect. 🫡
Thank you, @PahlaviReza, for your deeply meaningful message of solidarity and friendship as we mark three years since the horrors of the October 7th terror attacks carried out by Hamas.

To the people of Israel: I stand with you in grief, remembrance and solidarity on the third anniversary of October 7. We will never forget those murdered or the suffering of their families and the survivors. The Islamic Republic that armed and supported Hamas is the same regime that keeps Iranians in chains. When Iran is free, we will hold all those involved in these crimes accountable. Both our peoples deserve freedom and security. The bond between Iranians and Jews stretches back 2,500 years to Cyrus the Great. A free Iran will be a friend and partner to Israel. Lasting peace and stability for both our peoples will only come with the fall of the Islamic Republic.

It’s been three years since the October 7 massacre. Time does not diminish the evil, and propaganda does not erase the crime. Today, we remember the 1,200 Israeli lives lost on that horrific day.

"I spoke with Bibi Netanyahu and I wished him well and I wished the people of Israel well. That was a horrible day, a horrible tragedy — and the other side is paying a very big price for what they did on October 7th, believe me." -@realDonaldTrump @netanyahu thank you both for fighting back and working together. 💪

Further confirmation: This article from a private elementary school he attended in Tacoma, Washington further confirms his identity. Annie Wright Schools identifies him as a LS (Lower School) graduate of 2016. This is also the same time when the man alleged to be his father, Matthew Ingalls, taught Islamic studies at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma Washington. Inkwell is the name of the student news website for Annie Wright Schools. They interviewed him about his dislike for President Donald Trump, and identified him as “half-American” while in Dubai attending another elite private school, “Dubai International Academy Emirates Hills.” (The timeline matches) Article direct link: anniewrightinkwell.org/4368/…

I wonder if this is true that he fled to Dubai? Haven’t searched more on this yet… but if so… that sure makes quite a big statement. Doesn’t it?
Umar Matthew Ingalls is believed to have retreated to Dubai where he was raised following accusations of gang raping Jane Doe at Cornell University trib.al/9DPu0FW 🔗

You see… this is a potential Governor with a conscience. Wouldn’t that be an amazing change for California?
As we remember the horror and evil savagery of October 7th, let's remember too that Jewish people in California TODAY are living in fear of harassment, persecution and violence because pathetic politicians won't stand up to anti-Jewish hate. As governor, I will.
