I wanted Redo to be the place we could try every idea, no matter how crazy it seemed. One of the first was tying 100% of Engineering promotions and comp increases to revenue milestones. Here's how it works: 1. When a product line hits a revenue milestone the "treasure chest" of titles, equity, and cash are unlocked. 2. The engineers are then review 1-5 both from their technical leaders (quality, speed, etc) and their GM (business level impact.) 3. That blended score turns into a % of the cash and equity they will get from the treasure chest. 4. Repeat as many times and as fast as the product line can grow. It has created insane alignment between what the customers (the people we serve and the ones who pay us) actually want and what we build and at what speed. Also aligns the GTM teams with the Builders in powerful ways. It has also allowed us to be more aggressive in our comp, because when Redo wins the people on the team win too. *dummy data but you get the idea

This morning at our All-Hands meeting we did a Q/A with Jeremy Andrus. Most of the time the more you get to know someone the less impressed with them you are. Jeremy is the opposite. The larger we get the more definitively the data gets. Exchanges are a massive opportunity for Brands. If a Shopper gets a Refund vs and Exchange the outcomes are WILDY different. It's why our first Agent was the "Exchange Agent" and its still makes Brands the most money today.
