Uhhhhh okay man

In light of the Cornell 7, people are sharing the name and faces of their abusers as systems of justice more often than not tend to fail while exposure can help save the next person and protect our communities. Ryan Hunter Sutton 1/14/2003 “ryanhsutton”. He’s from Spartanburg SC, but now lives in Philly. Works at Clair Global as a roadie. He travels the country working on tours and sexually assaults women on dating apps in multiple states. He ripped off all my clothes, locked my phone/keys in a safe, slapped me across the face, sodemized me, stealthed me, transmitted antibiotic resistant infections. When I tried leaving, he chased and manhandled me, dragging me back into the room. I tried escaping a second time and he violently threw me over his shoulder and tossed me back inside. He held me hostage for 6 hours where he continued to hurt me. When he dragged and carried me back to the room, he threw me on the bed and wrapped me in bed sheets so tight my skin burned. He pinned me down, laying on top of me with his full body weight until it was hard to breathe. He told me if I called the police, he’d punch himself in the face saying I did it so I would be arrested and not him. The psychological abuse was intense. When I cried and screamed from his abuse he would be turned on and coerce sex. He told me he needed to do this so “he can feel better”. He’s still continuing this horrific behavior today.

Did you see the CNN interview with her lawyer? She wanted to leave mid semester and Cornell wouldn't give her family the money back. They made her choose to lose the money or finish the semester. So she stayed and finished and had to see them on campus. Every new detail is sickening

If you're a man and you're "bummed" or otherwise feel badly because of the Cornell case that's populated media feeds this week, that should be motivation to do something about this. My current go-to is action like emails, calls. Petitioning exists but seems less effective.

Taking note of any male Twitter account thats not posting about the issues with rape culture... I see your lack of engagement on a topic you as a male have A LOTA OF POWER to shut down if you could stand up to your "male friends".... yall are lacking accountability.

I'm virulently anti-alcohol and think drugs are bad. I don't blame victims at all if they were intoxicated or high when assaulted. It's never their fault and not relevant. So why are people who DO DRUGS AND DRINK THEMSELVES blaming victims for not being sober?

This is why ill never shut up.... this is why in person protests are shut down... we need constant pressure and eyes on anyone who has the ability to arbitrarily decide when an issue is really an issue.

I’m gonna be honest… between the case in France where a man was drugging his wife to be raped by other men while she slept, the Cornell rape case, and numerous other things regarding the rape and murder of women… it’s really difficult to be excited about dating rn.

Admin and campus police are a protective layer to prevent lawsuits. The actual cops may be incredibly unreliable but the chance of true consequence is higher.

The narrative on the tl isn’t surprising but it’s very like…frustrating. Men are like “I ate a sandwich :)” and women are like “have you ever been violated sexually and ruined your life in ways that you cannot imagine”

According to her attorney, the victim in the Cornell rape case wanted to return home but the university refused to refund her tuition therefore she was stuck for an entire semester with her abusers who all got a slap on the wrist. Unbelievable cruel. Eat shit Cornell.
