Update, as of today there have now been 46 ppl taken at the Santa Clara County Jail by ICE. For the Super Bowl, elected officials, advocates, the community was unified in saying No ICE in the Bay. For us, that also means No ICE taking ppl from the jail!

The problem is these ICE Free Zones - as atleast how Santa Clara County defines it- does not apply to the court and jail. There have been 44 ppl picked up at jail. ICE pulls up, walks into lobby, takes ppl. County leadership knows this, but just is silent as it acquiesces to ICE.
