I hate having arguments with my siblings over this issue.. there is definitely a massive problem in Utah-- corruption in the back & front of the house. But a Church I was raised in, loved, & sacrificed for.. covered it up, lied, and denied. Very sad!
I am not the one who claimed I could be trusted completely.
I am not the one who got naked with a bunch of boys in the basement of a frat house.
I am not the one who paddled other men’s asses so they would be my friend.
I never knowingly worked with men or women I knew had abused children.
I never created shell companies and asked you for money so I could invest it in pharmaceutical companies and with the gods of endless war.
All I’ve ever done is tell you the truth, the best I know how to do it.
Everyone gets to choose who they trust, and what information they base their decision off of.
Choose wisely.

Interesting.. the Mormon prophet Oaks just gave some speech about religious liberties.. but I don't remember him talking about this issue, or the government being able to cancel church, or people requiring a vax card to participate in society post COVID.. 🤔
It is outrageous that the state of NY is punishing the Amish community because their children are unvaccinated. They are using money as a weapon, trying to fine these communities into compliance. This is a blatant violation of the legal principle of “informed consent” which guarantees individuals the right to make informed decisions about medical interventions, particularly vaccines, without coercion or misinformation. Without this protection, you can be forced into anything by those in power, just like the Nazis did in WWII.

The $118,000 bill is one day, not the cap. Three one-room schools alone already owe that much for 59 children, at $2,000 each.

Health Commissioner Mary Bassett imposed it on December 15, 2022. She called the sum conservative because it assumed only one day out of compliance.

Dygert Road was billed $52,000 for 26 children. Pleasant View was billed $46,000 for 23.

Shady Lane was billed $20,000 for 10.

Footnote 9 of the Second Circuit opinion records the state's view. Each day an unvaccinated student attends is a fresh violation and a fresh $2,000 fine.

Another day for those 59 children is another $118,000. A 180-day year at that rate is about $21 million, and the families say they cannot pay the first bill.

Joseph Miller, Jonas Smucker, and Ezra Wengerd run the schools. The schools sit in Clymer and Heuvelton, plus the Canajoharie settlement, and take no public money.

They had a religious exemption for decades. On June 13, 2019, Democrats repealed it after measles spread through Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Rockland County.

Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the bill. Governor Kathy Hochul left it in force.

A parent may not excuse a child for faith.

Senator James Skoufis said the exemption was made up and fake. Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz called it utter garbage.

Counsel Aaron Siri told the New York Post the families can pay only if the state takes their land. Some in the community have talked of leaving the state.

The case is Miller versus McDonald. The Second Circuit ruled against them on June 30 in 2026.

A Supreme Court petition was due around September 28.

Am I understanding this correctly?
Are you saying that certain people should be allowed to break the law while others are expected to follow it?
Because that raises a pretty simple question:
If a law is on the books, shouldn’t it apply equally to everyone?
You can debate whether a law is good or bad. You can fight to change it. You can repeal it.
But selectively deciding who should be held accountable under the law is an entirely different argument.
Equal justice under the law should mean exactly that: equal.🤬🤬🤬

Those who know me know that I'm not a huge fan of this "Mormon Epstein" label... I prefer what the documents say, where people who know Gordon call him the "Mormon Bill Clinton".
But I can't control what happens as the story spreads, and Epstein is the villain du jour, so I guess that's the comparison that's going to be made. I wonder how LDS Inc feels about the fact that there is a high likelihood that soon dozens of their General Authorities are going to be linked to the man these influencers are labelling "The Mormon Epstein".

You are being sold down the river by your own politicians on the local, state, and federal levels. They only care about money and who is giving them the most of it. They don't care about you or your families.
One day, you're going to wake up and look around and what you'll see will NOT be the America that you recognize anymore.
All because wealthy politicians no longer see you as their cash cow. They will force you to pay your taxes so that they can then redistribute your wealth to foreign invaders whether they are here legally, on visa, or illegally.
If you don't wake up now, your grandchildren will regret it. We are responsible for securing their future. Our politicians don't care about their future at all.

Their answer is to push kids to go into trades
I think going into a trade is perfectly respectably but we also need smart American kids becoming scientists, doctors, lawyers, programmers, etc.
We don’t want these industries dominated by foreigners who don’t support our Constitution and have a compliant culture
We need to actually make it so Americans can go into these industries and aren’t required to compete with foreigners for jobs
The Democrats don’t care about Americans at all.
The only vehicle to fix this is the Republican Party but that will require nominating people who support ending H-1B, OPT, student visas and other programs all aimed at forcing Americans to compete with foreigners in our own country
In Utah, that requires not nominating people like @CelesteMaloyUT (R-lesbian) who support allowing her donors to import foreign slaves instead of hiring Americans
It’s not a consolation prize for your child to go to vocational school.
The skilled trades offer a path to great careers, earlier paychecks, higher earning potential, and less debt.

Why are the good jobs going to Texas, Florida, and Tennessee and not Utah?
They're better managed. Tourism, Stadium, and Gondola jobs are losers, yet this is the focus of Utah's R's gov't. Why?
Is Utah a moral state when it does not allow residents to vote on tax increases? No.
Forcing money out of families with the tax gun without a vote is not moral.
Other states let their families vote on tax increases. Utah does not. Why?
Utah's runaway taxes will not end until all tax increases are voter approved. This is common sense.
DEI'd, Dignity Indexed, Disagree Better'd families eat Ramen noodles, ride the bus to the laundro mat while the politician dine on free $54 legal steak dinners.

"Modest" from the reserves and tithe payers will never know. Ever. They know what you make though to collect tithes.

We have a Gov-R, a State Senate-R, and State House-R.
They could easily give us strong recall rights, but they won't. Other states have recall rights. We don't. They don't trust us.
We vote R. We get D gov't. Our R's are really D's. Utah is not a Republican state.
