Announcing tsc-rs (aka ts-rust), my complete rewrite of the Typescript compiler, type checker, and LSP, all in Rust. This is a project I've had agents working on for 5 months now. I burned ~$400k of Codex tokens and got nowhere. Burned ~$20k of Opus and got there in 2 weeks. I have not read a single line of the code. tsc-rs is an open source drop-in replacement for tsc, and it's available now.

The certain bank laying people off because of AI were offering crazy day rates to set up the AI Recruiter called me earlier this year for a DevSecOps role but they changed the requirements from remote to 3 days in office so I never followed up

I’ve worked for over 10 clients the past 5 years and thought only 1 of them would be difficult to hack

Why do I keep seeing Tech Recruiters post this bullshit? It’s obviously AI but every post starts with how people are supposedly willing to drop 20-30k? It’s just nonsense

Just checked all 3 places I've lived. Interesting website. Where does the data come from? It's not stated on the site @the_tpa

For anyone wondering how much a small YouTube channel makes from AdSense who uploads semi regularly (apart from a 9 month break) since being monetised 2 years ago

The British side of twitter is so funny because so many people just don’t know anything You’ll see people try correct people replying to tweets and they couldn’t be more any more wrong? Like you can Google things? Check facts? Check data?

The reality is the average UK Salary is way higher than it’s reported because company directors paying themselves £12,570 drags down the average. Nobody ever talks about this.
I’ve noticed something strange about the UK. We’re told people are struggling. Yet restaurants are packed. Airports are rammed. Gigs sell out. Holidays are booked. Meanwhile, mortgages, food and bills keep rising. So who exactly is feeling the cost-of-living crisis?

We learn every day. I just logged into an old workplace pension, and changed my investments plan from the default fund to an equity fund.

All FIRE people are boring. Weird cult.
If your focus is on saving for retirement or FIRE and you’re in your 20s and 30s please stay well away from me. I do not wish to be bored to tears by your ‘personality’

I’ve used CLI for 10+ years for everything. Now I just use the Claude VS Code chat.
I haven’t touched Claude Code or Codex CLI in a while. The terminal era is over imo. It's the wrong interface for coding agents. Tabs are ephemeral, but context is persistent, and managing 30 tabs is pure cognitive overhead. I don’t really need an IDE like Cursor either. I rarely navigate the whole codebase anymore. The new primitive is the agent, not the file. (Codex desktop app is the best agentic UI for now. But we’re still early.)

Mental how many people don’t login to their workplace pension and change the fund. They always slam you in to a shit low risk fund. I logged in to mine one day after changing it to match what I do in my ISA and was like damn - the cruises in 50 years will be fun.
This pot *only* has old workplace pension money in it. No personal contributions. It has grown by £47k since my tweet just 2 years ago. I dont do anything at all to it. If you like opt out. (Don’t)

2022 I left a company I was at for almost 6 years. I earned £25k. Since then I’ve worked for 3 companies and now I contract and earn over 6 figures. Just leave man. I got told the grass isn’t always greener. It’s bollocks. You can just leave and do things.
I am considering job hopping, because my salary is below median for my field and YOE, but it frightens me a bit because my current company is super chill and I don’t want to end up in a worse situation either. 🫪

If you’ve seen this Megan Fox movie you’ll know we’re rapidly close.
Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Community note
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard. cellcog.ai/blog/tavus-gri… research.nvidia.com/labs/amri/proj… tech-ish.com/2026/10/02/tav…
