Mobile App Developer šŸ§‘ā€šŸ’» building Quick Search for Android. I share what I learn and say what I think.. Mostly tech, plus unsolicited wisdom.

United States
My All-in-One search app, Quick Search, is now available on Google Play Store! play.google.com/store/apps/d… As promised, I've made the project open-source so that others can view & use the code for free: github.com/teja2495/quick-se… Features: - Search for apps, contacts, files, device settings and the internet (Google, YouTube, Perplexity, ChatGPT, Amazon, Google Play etc.) using a single search bar. - Use a Gemini API key to view answers directly inside the app - Add shortcuts for your favorite search engines to quickly trigger them using just keywords, no need to tap. - Set WhatsApp or Telegram as the default messaging app for contact actions. It allows you to quickly open WhatsApp / Telegram chat of the searched contact. - Customizable layout I'd appreciate if you can provide any feedback - good, bad, bug reports and any suggestions are welcome.

People don’t realize how many calories they eat unless they actually measure them. Most people think they know, but they usually don’t. I only realized this after tracking every calorie I ate for a month. I was surprised by how many calories some foods contain and had no idea before. Now, even though I’m not actively tracking calories, the knowledge I gained during that month helps me make better food choices.
"I ate in a calorie deficit and didn't lose any weight" No. You did not.

Anthropic launched Claude Duet which is their answer to Muse, Dots, and Grokbot.
We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

Not all lies are bad. I think harmless lies are perfectly fine when they spare someone's feelings. For example, if someone invites you somewhere and you don't want to go, making up an excuse instead of telling them the truth isn't necessarily wrong. Sometimes, being kind matters more than being honest.

The only Indian app that had potential to be a true WhatsApp rival back in those days. I wish they had not shut it down.
🚨 Hike Messenger achieved over 100 million users before shutting down in January 2021. It is the closest an Indian company has gone against the might of WhatsApp.

These days, whenever I want to share information with someone, I just use AI to create a beautifully designed HTML page instead of a regular Word or Markdown document. It looks so much better and is easier to read.

I bought Enpass password manager many years ago back when I was in India for ₹100, there was no subscription back then. They later switched to a subscription model but they honored my purchase and I never had to pay ever again. One of my best app purchases of all time.
This is probably the best subscription you can have nowadays

If you want this on your Google TV, just give my Github repo link and ask Claude or Codex to install it on your TV. Enable usb debugging and wireless debugging in your TV developer settings.
I built my own TV launcher for my Google TV Streamer with Claude Opus 5.5! GitHub: github.com/teja2495/my-toolk… Wanted something simple, clean, and functional. Here's what I've built so far: 1. Minimal UI: Just Continue Watching and Apps. Also added a subtle glow behind the currently selected app, which looks pretty nice! 2. Time & Date: Right at the top. Might add weather here too. 3. Audio Output & Settings: I frequently switch between Bluetooth audio devices, so I wanted a quick way to change the audio output without digging through settings. 4. Continue Watching: This isn't actually real-time since apps don't expose that data. Think of it more like Favourites. I can pin shows with deep links, and clicking one opens the show directly in its respective app. 5. Long-press Actions: Long-press any app to reorder, hide (moves it to More Apps), uninstall, or force stop it. Force stop is surprisingly useful when an app gets stuck or when I want to refresh YouTube recommendations. What do you think? Anything else worth adding?

Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon! It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix. Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher. Looks like an Apple TV now lol

Never thought I'd see someone I personally know interview the CEO of OpenAI! Vaibhav was my senior at GITAM Vizag. Even back in college, I knew he would make it big, but I never imagined he'd reach this level lol. Proud of you, man! @VaibhavSisinty

This is crazy, this basically means that TV manufacturers are intentionally slowing down TVs just to add ads and bloatware.
my parents' old Android TV was full of bloatware and sponsored rows you couldn't turn off. so I had Claude rip it all out. Claude Code ran on my Mac mini and did everything over ADB. it disabled the bloatware, the tracking and the auto-installers, and uninstalled 11 apps nobody used. free RAM went up about 90%. then it built a custom launcher with just the apps they actually use. and every change can be undone with one command. honestly it feels like a new TV now.

I like the approach Meta took with Muse. It gives regular users a taste of agentic workflows without needing any setup or technical knowledge. A lot of what we do with Codex and Claude still feels built around developers or at least people with some technical knowledge. We know what to ask for and how to get things done. But most people still use AI for questions and answers, even when it could do much more for them. Muse makes that next step feel more approachable. You ask for something, and it does it. You don’t have to think about which model to pick, reasoning levels, or context windows etc. That’s the gap I think Meta is addressing well. AI tools can already do a lot. Getting an average person to discover those capabilities and actually use them is just as important.

The Claude Code codebase may have changed completely since when it leaked few months ago.
Claude writes about 90% of Claude Code's code. From June to September, merged PRs more than doubled while the share reverted fell by more than 40%. We wrote about how we changed code review to get there, and how to adopt it: claude.dev/blog/solving-code…

Kinzua Bridge in Pennsylvania is an old bridge built in 1882. Part of it collapsed in 2003 after a tornado. You can walk to the middle of the bridge, where it collapsed, and look at the fall colors and the fallen sections of the bridge.

If you’re currently on X Premium’s $8 plan, switching to this new plan will give you access to Grok models in Cursor at the same cost. If you’re on Cursor’s $20 plan or higher, leave it as is. These new unified plans say that third-party models in Cursor, like Claude, will be charged at API prices which is a downgrade.
We've unified plans across Grok, Cursor, and X Premium. Introducing The X Subscription.
