"1920s to 1930s: Early Hawkers in Singapore" Translator: Lai Chee Kien Illustrator: Chang Yang Great worldbuilding resource for Da Xia/ 大侠 research; Chang Yang's work originally appeared in Singapore's 1980s Chinese newspapers. Detailed social realist approach is so helpful!

(1/?) Lunar New Year in less than 2 days, final chance for me to talk about ghosts and grieving for this Tiger Year I wrote Shrine last year, a difficult time when I was grieving and organising multiple Chinese funerals, and took point/ part in many Buddhist and Daoist rituals.

Replying to @Genesisoflegend @CuriousChimeras
The Ghosts are amazing, flavourful, and emotionally resonant in a way that puts my mere Bearers to shame. For instance, The Immolated Scholar is a burnt ghost afflicted by the Grievance of Despair.

Continuing with the reflection theme in the covers, here's this incredibly pink piece:
A unearthly looking tree with pink leaves on a pink island in the middle of a lake reflecting a pink sky. A blinding column of white light is in the distance, directly behind the tree. The reflection too is unearthly, apart from being distorted, several celestial-fish appear to be frolicking in the reflection of the tree. The column of light doesn't appear in the reflection. Photobash, including a stock 3d render.

My upcoming series of diorama illustrations: working with @TanShaoHan's 'Da Xia' to create scenes of common people and folk heroes set during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore. #artistsontwitter (Read his pinned twt for what's it all about, and why it'll be so good!)

Sending my orgs banners to others can be a real crapshoot. Is it fine if we add a white glow to the bottom? how about we redo it in powerpoint in a completely different style? WHAT ABOUT IF THE EDGE OF THE BROWSER WINDOW IS SCREENSHOTTED IN IT?

wisdom is trusting common sayings instead of actually trying things out for yourself and never learning that tomato in fruit salad tastes good, actually

Now that i've published, I can finally show off the #battlemap I made for Club Diamond in full. Painting metallic sheens onto everything was very fun. dmsguild.com/product/415683/…
A battlemap for the adventure Club Diamond, meant for use on virtual tabletops. It is a art-deco themed nightclub with a stage and cabaret seating dominating the center of the map. Located around the club are private rooms, kitchens, bars, toilets, and other ameneties you'd expect to see in a nightclub. The club has a blue and gold colour scheme. Several high-tech additions betray the actual time period of this adventure, which is set in the Spelljammer setting.

My favourite detail: SOUP.
An extreme closeup of a cauldron of soup in the kitchens from the battlemap in the original tweet. It appears to be some sort of cream of vegetable soup, with two steam lines rising from the surface enticingly. A pile of leeks can be seen on the counter, partially cropped off.
