Everyone is asking whether Hasan Piker should be deported. No, he cannot. He was born in New Jersey. He is an American citizen. You cannot deport an American just because you despise his political beliefs. We should never weaken the Constitution just to punish someone we cannot stand. But constitutional protection is not a public endorsement. Free speech may protect his right to reveal exactly who he is. It does not require political candidates to campaign beside him, major platforms to promote him, advertisers to enrich him, or Americans to pretend his vile rhetoric is harmless. The loss of Hayden Panettiere and her younger brother, Jansen, is an especially heartbreaking tragedy for their family. Hayden died on August 16, 2026, at just 36 years old, while Jansen died suddenly on February 19, 2023, at age 28. Jansen’s death was attributed to an enlarged heart along with aortic valve complications. Hayden’s cause of death has not yet been publicly disclosed and remains under investigation. The tragedy is compounded by Hayden having been so young and by the fact that she was a mother herself. She leaves behind her daughter, Kaya.  It really is one of those stories where the statistics almost fail to convey the human devastation behind them. Two siblings dying so young, only a few years apart, is heartbreaking—and for their parents, the loss of both children is beyond words.

Later, Pulido would brag about helping the sexual predator get out of jail and remarked that molesting children was “not necessarily rape.” Gray, apparently realizing the toxic nature of his compatriot, has deleted social media posts promoting the joint appearance with Pulido.

Teachers don’t just “go back to work.” They flip a switch that most people never have to flip. One day they’re living in the soft, unstructured rhythm of summer — sleeping past sunrise, moving at their own pace, actually finishing a thought without interruption. The next day they’re standing in a hallway full of 12-year-olds whose volume has three settings: loud, louder, and “why is it so quiet, something must be wrong.” The mental and physical whiplash is real. Your nervous system doesn’t get the memo that the calendar changed. Your body is still half in vacation mode while your brain is already calculating seating charts, parent emails, and which kid is going to test the new boundaries first. And yet… most of them still love it. That’s the part outsiders miss. Two things can be true at the same time: You can love teaching with your whole heart and still feel the jolt of leaving summer behind. So if you know a teacher heading back this week, don’t just say “have a great year.” Give them a little grace for the first couple of weeks. The reset is harder than it looks from the outside. Here’s to the ones who keep showing up anyway.
