On March 31, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel would destroy “all houses” in Lebanese villages near the border, “in accordance with the model used in Rafah and Beit Hanoun in Gaza,” and said displaced residents would not be allowed to return south of the Litani until Israel decided northern Israel was secure. That is not a narrow military objective. That is a stated policy of mass ruin plus engineered non-return.
