Wallet activity on @base 👇🏾
Over 427k new wallets were active on @base in the last 7 days That is about 80k jump from the previous 7 days... Which also means that about 27% of active wallets in the previous week are new wallets. Lets go through the entire numbers. 🧵

Users are the major cornerstone of every ecosystem, and daily, new users flock in (and out) of these ecosystems... This is a study looking through new wallets on Base in Q1 2026 to see what separates the ones that stayed from those who left. Check it out in the article below.
I spent some time digging through 630k+ new Base wallets from Q1 2026. The interesting part wasn't how many arrived, it was what separated the wallets that stayed from the ones that disappeared. Full research ↓ @hildobby @0xKofi @XenBH @jessepollak

What retains New wallets on Base?

As a blockchain researcher leaning more into ecosystem growth, I wanted to dig into how Base has been doing at attracting and retaining new wallets. This is the result of looking at wallets that first

I was supposed to send this out yesterday, but I fell into a rabbit hole... and here we are today, more on that later. In the past 7 days, @base pushed over 65 million transactions with 91.71% success rate. The number isn't the story, but the activities behind it. A thread 🧵

A few days ago, @CronosApp blockchain had to halt block production due to an attack on @TectonicFi The chain came back online, but how long did it take the ecosystem? I tracked the recovery across the chain, applications, and users. Here's what I found 🧵

So I decided to do some more tinkering with data... I tried vibecoding for the first time, and I built this dashboard for @EbisusBay on @CronosApp. Still exploring how far I can push things. I won't be around for the most part of this weekend, so I wont be refining it, but do enjoy: onchainwithdan.github.io/ebi…
With the @CronosApp waitlist rolling out, Cronos is probably about to meet quite a number of new wallets. So I decided to dive into the history of Cronos wallets lifecycle before now. Over time users have come and gone, how do we know their lifecycle on Cronos? Follow me 🧵 First off, of all the >1.7 million wallets ever active on Cronos, over 31% of them had another transaction within 7 days. Meanwhile, more than 44% never return after the first day. A significantly larger drop-off than other retention metrics combined. 1/-

Over the weekend, I was quite busy, but at the same time, I added some things to the dashboard on @EbisusBay, and made some adjustments. First off, Good morning #CROfam, and happy new week. Hope y'all had a nice weekend? So, back to this, Here's one thing I added, and that is 'The market over 5 lengths of time', consisting of the market performance over the ➜ Past Year ➜ Past 90 days ➜ Past 30 days ➜ Past 7 days ➜ Past 24 hours (snapshot Aug 22nd) • • •

Been sort of curious about the @CronosApp blockchain, so I decide to do a little tinkering with its blockchain data. Cronos has been here for a long time, but with the recent developments regarding the coming of the Cronos App and the waitlist rollout, I've been seeing some hype here and there. So, if you're a fan of Cronos, you might want to pay attention to this site soon as I'll be dropping some bangers. Good morning y'all 🌀

Over 10.1 million new wallets on @base in Q1 2026, and I decided to dig through 630k+ of them, roughly 1 in 16 of the quarter's new wallets. 64.69% were active for just one day and never came back. But the more interesting part was what separated the wallets that stayed from the ones that disappeared. Wallets that explored 3+ parts of Base during their first week showed 73.48% retention, compared with 54.54% for wallets that only touched one. I dug into the entry points, first-week behavior, ecosystem breadth, and the cohorts that complicate the picture. Read through the full research below👇🏼 @0xKofi

Looking at the current somnia:native timeline, this is the last month before the Cliff + Linear vesting release period begins for: • Team • Launch Partners • Investors • Advisors What does this hold for the future of somnia:native and @Somnia_Network? Good morning y'all, let's dive in. ✍️ If this question were to be directed to me, I'll say it looks like a start. In the past months there has been so many happenings, some of which were fun, others, not so much. Even though some things might not have seemed fair, which have caused a significant churn in users, this looks more like the start that has been anticipated by the team. There have been a lot of sentiment regarding the ecosystem most recently, especially regarding the somnia:native token, and I have to say, even though the token is a huge part of the ecosystem, it isn't everything. The Somnia team has been really active building recently, and that goes to show that there's still more coming. The 'Agentic and Fastest L1' is not just for show and I believe this is the start of something bigger. ... Well, that's my belief, if yours differ, share in the comments. Good morning once again. 🥂
So many things have happened in the @Somnia_Network ecosystem over the past months But one thing we shouldn't forget is that $SOMI still is a deflationary token. [A mini thread 🧵] Each and every transaction that has ever happened on the network, so far they cost gas fees has burned half the gas cost. In total, up till now, the total $SOMI burned has amounted to: ~ 498,196.26 $SOMI Which is half the total transaction fees spent ~ 996,392.52 $SOMI.

Around two months ago, I built this little portfolio website for my brand @the_Chain_Scope ➜ chainscope.framer.website/ But I've been quite busy all the while hence my absence. I'll be popping in here more frequently than I've been these past months. Would have said 'Fear my return', but even me never sure my return style. 😂 Anyways, Gm y'all, how is your weekend going?

I spent about 25,500 minutes listening to music this year and I'm sure you already know how I found out. 🥴 Yes - "Spotify Wrapped" A thought then popped up in my head, what if I come up with something similar for @Somnia_Network? I went ahead and created a dashboard for it: "Somnia Wrapped" What is it about? Come take a look. 👇🏼

BRING WORKLOADS TO SOMNIA!!!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥 See, I was doing a little research on the dashboard I created on @Somnia_Network insights and I realized something. The Somnia Blockchain is built for games yes, but you know what it's better built for? Yes, to handle hugeeeee workload. How did I come to this conclusion? If we look at the chart below,... Pink ➜ Transaction count Blue ➜ Average fees spent per transaction ...we'd notice a pattern that keeps occurring: - The higher the transaction count - The lower the Average fees spent per transaction. For example, in hours where there was: Transactions Average Fee - 4.7 million ➜ 0.00013 $SOMI - ~400,000 ➜ 0.00030 $SOMI - ~9,500 ➜ 0.00608 $SOMI - 120 ➜ 0.03864 $SOMI ...and more similar occurrences. This made me remember something @0xPaulThomas mentioned sometime before mainnet launch, I think it was called the 'Dynamic Pricing Model', can't really remember the name of the mechanism. So basically, what this model does is that - The higher the Transaction Per Second (TPS), the lower the average fee spent. This made me think of a certain mathematics formula we used back then which is 'Variation'. See, I believe the average transaction fees spent is Inversely related (not really proportional since it's not exactly constant) to the Transaction count per time. Which means: Average Fee ∝ 1/TPS^n OR a ∝ 1/(t^n) (Where n is the rate at which the fees decreases) So then: a = k*(t^-n) I'm not a math guru so I'm also trying to wrap my head around it 😅, but I'm working on a simulation to see how the fee fall rate when TPS goes a lot more higher. We've only seen up to 4,000 TPS, what happens when we see 100,000? Stay tuned as I will work on that soon enough 😌. See you on the next one, and Check out the dashboard link below.👇
