What actually happened, all the labs have hit the scaling wall, they realize that they can’t keep up with China. So you push regulation so their trillion dollar investments don’t go up in smoke. Why do you think they keep postponing grok models and keep dumbing down models weeks after release? They have peaked, they are now realizing that they can’t surpass the scaling law and are doing whatever they can to keep afloat. The way you keep things afloat is by regulating access so that they don’t get their loans called in. Elon has been saying that self driving cars would be here every year for like 10 years. Hmm? Where is the unsupervised FSD Elon? You all can’t tell the future, a matter of fact, you all are actually terrible at it. Where is your AI cure for cancer? Where is your AI cure for anything useful? No where… but trust “us” it’s going to take over the world. Idiots. All of you, Elon included.

After 10 years of year after year? And all those cars have human takeover available. I own a Tesla with FSD. 🤣 I bought my first one in 2016, It’s now 2026.

Why do you think they've peaked if every release has been an improvement on the last? I could see if we started only getting small upgrades each model, but gpt 5.6 -> 6 is a huge difference. If there's a scaling wall, it doesn't look like we've hit it yet.

Look at how models degrade after release, they do this because the next release is really only incrementally better, but looks like it’s a drastic improvement since the older model was neutered overtime. They’ve been doing this for the past couple years. It’s a way of rationing the scaling wall, while thinking they would use so to find a way to break through. There is no break through in the scaling law and now open source models are catching up.

FSD is here. Have you ever ridden in a Tesla?

I’ve own/owned 3 teslas. I bought FSD when it was 2K in 2017, FSD remains supervised, hence it still requires human intervention.

Unsupervised FSD, you mean like the cybertaxis that are operating in the real world right now with no steering wheel?

You mean the ones with a human operator remotely connected, ready to take over instantly?

Yeah but it’s still not good enough for the people who own a Tesla (I have a Tesla and FSD).

I don't think China is keeping up. They're just stealing the ideas and trying to recreate it.

To be completely honest, the moment Elon Musk decided for AI to moderate this social network he officially graduated as a complete idiot

There's no way to make any more progress. If 2+2 is 4, no "technological breakthroughs" can make it change to 5.. ..and, since technological breakthroughs are built on logic and not Harry Potter.. There's no improvements to be made

“We lost, China is so far ahead!” “Where is the Ai cure for cancer????” Ok dipshit…. Settle those 2 things and tell me where is China’s Ai cure for cancer or you know “anything useful”….

I love using AI because it feels magical like Google 20 years ago. But it’s not sci-fi tech, unless they actually start curing cancers and the mortality itself. (And even then, it’s progress, let’s put down the pearls)

You can see it in the alarmism about FOSS AI models. Many people don’t understand that Linux distributed the hell out of servers, and super computing. If companies start hosting their own limited AI solutions a lot of money (vast sums of money that are basically the stock market) are going bye bye. And since the government is taking stakes in AI companies they may respond with regulation that has downstream consequences on all computing.

They are not idiots. They are quite intelligent people who know how to manipulate the crowd and make billions from it. The idiots, in their view, are everyone else.
