The Twisted Tower soundtrack is officially here, completely free to listen to! piped.video/Xpf7nbKphpM IMO it is an incredible OST. I am shocked at how good it turned out. It was handcrafted by the brilliant @QuintenCoblentzMusic . I also wrote the title theme, and also worked with some talented jazz musicians and singers to write the original jazz song we called "Your Love Was Never Mine", featuring the lovely vocals of Chandler Anderson, and heartbreaking orchestration from Matt Rexford, the lead musician at my old church. This game's soundtrack was a passionate team effort, where every note, instrument, and lyric was surgically recorded and edited to give that classic Halloween vibe, while also bringing in some original "vintage" that sounded like it was straight out of 1940.

I had a lot of beta testing for Twisted Tower. LOTS. I think 6 months total? Some folks (and it's totally fine!) didn't love the game's "message" or "theme". I won't say much about it, but this articles really said exactly what the goal was. Story telling is not always about saying something. Sometimes it's about asking something. I truly believed Twisted Tower was mediocre at best. For five years (ask my wife) I felt like I was completely wasting not only my money and time, but destroying my credibility on YT and hurting my small team. Constant floundering, budget cuts, letting team members go, going solo for almost a year, and seriously considering quitting game dev (I never said it out loud). And then suddenly like a firecracker going off I wake up and realize maybe it’s a pretty decent game.

So Steam has this rule (it's actually a really good rule) that if you hit 500 reviews at 95% you get a big fat gold star called "Overwhelmingly Positive". And when you get that gold star, you get to tell your friends you did it. Ofcourse, to be honest, I would have been okay with Mostly Positive. That's how much I doubted this project. To see Twisted Tower approaching that Overwhelmingly Positive dream that I thought was completely out of reach is pretty wild. Here's the truth though: it doesn't matter what the review score is. What matters is you guys are enjoying the game, the game that frankly you all produced. From supporting on YouTube, helping fund the last leg of the project by buying my annoying courses (but they are still pretty freaking good), and cheering me on, I couldn't ask for anything more from you. What a WILD two weeks of wishlist charts for my game. What is happening?? Yesterday was like 1,700 wishlists. Twisted Tower launches in 8 days, perhaps it's the popular upcoming? I wonder what wonderful things may happen until then! My goal was always 150k. Maybe it'll somehow make it there!
