Life update— I am leaving Charlotte, but what a ride it’s been. I’m so blessed to have started my professional career in the city that shaped me as a broadcaster, and more importantly as a person. But now it’s time to fly and experience something new. 🦋 It’s beyond bittersweet to step away from my roles with @knightsbaseball and @checkershockey. These two teams mean the absolute world to me and gave me my start in this business. My first EVER professional sporting event was a Knights game when I was one year old. I never could’ve imagined the impact this organization would have on my life. Five seasons of incredible memories, amazing people, and the living the absolute dream. I’m leaving with more memories, friendships, and gratitude than I could ever put into words. To the best team in Minor League Baseball, thank you for all of the joy and fun. Truist Field forever. I will be a Charlotte Knights fan for life. 💙 And @CheckersHockey, where do I even begin?! I sang the National Anthem at a Checkers game when I was about 9 and thought being on the big screen was the coolest thing ever. Little did I know I’d eventually have the privilege of being on that screen for four seasons. After retiring from competitive figure skating at 18, I thought my skating career was over. Instead, it was just getting started. Hockey is the absolute best and there is no place like The Biscuit. Checkers forever. ❤️ I’ll always be grateful that both organizations believed in me and hired me while I was still in college. They both saw something in me before I fully saw it in myself. Thank you to everyone who made these years so special. It’s a blessing to be part of teams that make saying goodbye so hard. Charlotte, it’s the people who make a place. From my Studio Fire yoga family and the wonderful people at Weddington Methodist Church, to my incredible family (especially my parents and brother) and everyone I’ve met along the way, I’ve been surrounded by the kindest, most caring people. I’ll love you forever, Queen City. You’ll always be in my heart and forever my home. All glory to God, who I know is with me every step of the way, even in places and spaces I’ve never been before. Onto something new… 🥹

Back in 2008 oil damn near hit $148 a barrel and gas was around 4 bucks. Now oil is way lower and somehow we’re still paying more at the pump. You can throw out all the excuses you want, but regular people know when something smells fishy. Something ain’t right.

President Trump is headed to Knoxville for Texas–Tennessee, and ESPN College GameDay will be there too. The White House has confirmed Trump plans to attend the game, while ESPN still hasn’t publicly confirmed whether he’ll be the guest picker. Could you imagine Trump sitting there making picks with Nick Saban? 😂 The internet would absolutely melt down. And you already know there’d be plenty of people mad just because the President showed up to enjoy one of the biggest traditions in American sports. College football, 100,000 people packed into Neyland Stadium, Texas vs. Tennessee… man, this could be epic. Hey @RepTimBurchett, BIG night Saturday!

Tomorrow’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing is an important one on protecting women’s sports. In Tennessee, we know the difference between a man and a woman. Hundreds of thousands of young girls are competing and winning, and we want to make sure they keep that opportunity.
