Does anyone else review contracts and recommend clause changes? Wondering if there's any training available you could recommend? I don't mind doing it, just not sure I'm the right person or doing a good job!

We have this occasionally, fortunately it gets caught pretty quickly, stopping it hasn't worked out so far!
At 2:07 AM our shared support inbox sent an automatic reply to a vendor. “Thanks, we've received your message.” The vendor's ticketing system automatically replied: “Thanks, we've received your message.” Our inbox thanked them for receiving our message. Their system thanked us for receiving their message. This continued until 6:18 AM. 11,438 emails. Security woke me up because they thought we were under attack. I checked the logs. No attack. Just two enterprise systems being extremely polite to each other for four straight hours. I killed the loop. The vendor's support ticket now contains 5,700 updates and is too large for their portal to open. Their account manager called the incident “concerning.” I disagree. We just completed the world's first fully automated vendor relationship. No humans. No decisions. Thousands of emails. Enterprise software has finally achieved its final form.

Having this conversation right now- end goal is SSO everything to help with offloading. I pointed out one system failing takes out everything, what's the plan?
Our identity provider went down this morning. Which meant nobody could access: Slack. Email. VPN. The help desk. Our incident-management system. Or the company status page. The status page was also behind SSO. So we had successfully centralized authentication to the point where an authentication outage removed every method we had for telling employees there was an authentication outage. I spent 20 minutes walking around the office carrying a whiteboard that said: SSO IS DOWN STOP REBOOTING YOUR LAPTOP The CTO asked why we didn't have an external status page. Security reminded him they made us put the external status page behind SSO last year. We're designing a new emergency communications plan now. Current leading technology: a bigger whiteboard.

2 weeks off of alcohol until Sunday, then couple of pints that I could take or leave. Drinking in the house during the week has be canned, we're also looking at the next day to make sure there's minimal impact- the time wasted (and problems..) just isn't worth it.

Next question to one of the ladies in the business- has she had a personal assessment undertaker? If not, who's responsible for these? Fairly certain the MD isn't going to do one.
Today I'm researching H&S as no one seems to care at work- outdated and inorrect policy with no impetus to correct this. Accidents not recorded and potentially not reported under RIDDOR (legal requirements). How involved should I get? Not part of my role but has a direct impact

Bollock my kids for not wearing PPE correctly quite frequently- if its needed make sure its adjusted, if it isn't then take it off rather than emwear it badly or incorrectly.
Can’t help thinking someone should have told him these hard hats can be adjusted to make them fit 😁😁😁😁😁

Sorted.
I've sawn it all down ready for splitting. Normally I'd just crack on but this getting old and having a cold crap has me sitting down for a bit. May take a while, it's got a few years to season so no rush.

Yes I bet! We are small fry compared to many but back-of-the-fag-packet calculations say my machine is costing £30 more per day to run than last month. £154 per week, £616 per month. Thats my mortgage again in a month!! Unsustainable.

A good few years ago, Nexidia brought out their voice analytics service which converted speech to text then analysed it based on search strings provided- pretty much what a lot of "AI" systems are now doing.

It was all on prem, needed some fairly beefy hardware but nothing like this. It was also amazingly good, but expensive. Each language (and sometimes region) was specifically created (and licensed).

I don't know how much different modern options are, but the resource usage is ridiculously expensive and intensive- something I think will be it's downfall.
