Restore Britain would fix the Afghan failure. We offered these people temporary refugee, not a permanent home - living a life on the back of the British taxpayer. A Restore Britain Government would work with regional partners to relocate every Afghan who arrived via these importation schemes which have obviously been abused so heavily. Cases would be forensically reviewed. Those Afghans who genuinely helped British troops would be sent to a nation that is closer to Afghanistan - culturally, geographically and socially. They can build a life there. Those who defrauded the process will be sent back to Afghanistan. Legislation would be passed to prevent such super-injunctions hiding disastrous cock ups. One stupid leak does not mean tens and tens of thousands of Afghans can remain in Britain forever. From a culture that is fundamentally incompatible with our way of life. The spouse visa system will be eased, to allow citizens of non-red list countries to join their British partners. There are underhand attempts to misrepresent our position. Ignore it. Britain when I was in my 30s was THE best country to live in the world. London was THE best city. I cannot tell you what a special place it was. Everyone, all over the world, wanted to live in Britain. I look now at the cards our country has dealt young British men and women? It’s a proper miserable deal, isn’t it? Student loans, for example. It is a suffocating graduate debt. NINE percent, over a very low threshold. That’s just brutal. Any real chance of saving, gone. NINE grand a year to even go to university. We break their backs before they even start working. Restore Britain would scrap interest on student loans altogether - funded by removing eligibility to foreign nationals who in the many, many thousands abscond and fail to pay a penny back. Wider tax, even more pain. Just remember, workers, when you’re walking to the office in the pissing rain that your efforts are funding some Somalian family to sit on benefits doing sod all. You work, so others don’t have to. We would ban foreigners from benefits altogether, and we could get the healthy British shirking class off their backsides and out picking litter and cleaning graffiti. Painful, yes. Necessary, absolutely. We need to brutally cut tax, and brutally slash down the size of the state. Do those two things in tandem, and just watch how the clouds lift for men and women who are putting in the hours and getting nowhere. Let’s say a young couple manage to scratch together 20k for a deposit after paying 2k a month in rent. What do they get? A pokey little flat in Lewisham? They don’t even own it, due to ludicrous leasehold rules? Spending an hour commuting each way, on filthy, packed trains? Not exactly the American dream is it? The system STINKS. Possibly one positive development thanks to technology - working from home. Farage wants it to end, and attacks the idea of ‘work-life’ balance. Restore Britain’s position is clear on private sector employees working from home - WE DO NOT CARE. And actually, a positive work-life balance is a good thing. People care, people are happy, they work better. Anyone who has actually run a proper business would understand that. People my age say oh well the youngsters don’t work hard enough, they don’t save, they spend too much. Possibly for some. False for an overwhelming majority. It is an objective fact that buying a home when I was younger was SO much easier than now. Cutting down on flat whites will not solve the entire problem, CLEARLY. Look at childcare. Maybe they want to start a family. Good for them. Oh wait, they examine the costs of childcare. Thousands a month. When the damn thing is only open six hours a day. Vast waiting list to even get in? It just doesn't work. Nothing works. Restore Britain would give vast tax breaks to working parents to ensure that a parent can stay with the child if they choose, or make childcare more affordable. Reward families with meaningful relief. Raise thresholds, widen VAT exemptions for essential child-related items, and expand tax-deductible childcare costs. We would front-load child benefit - pay more of the money in the earlier years, when the help is really required. Only British nationals would be eligible to receive that. Stamp duty, gone for British nationals. An insidious tax that further punishes ambition and success. We will support young men and women who want to get on, build a family and find their way in the world. I want these people to have the same opportunity that my generation had. That's all. Overthrowing the Islamist regime in Tehran is America First foreign policy: 1- It removes an enemy that has blood of many Americans on its hands and funds and trains global radical Islamist terrorist movement. 2- It brings down an enemy that constantly challenges US in the region and replaces it with a strategic partner. 3- It finally allows US to reduce its military footprint in the region and focus more on China. 4- It removes an enemy that is a close partner of China in a region that supplies half of China’s imported oil and is a member of the Axis of Aggressors. 5-It opens a market that is closed to US and offers American firms $1 trillion of revenue opportunities over the first decade, that is tens of thousands of well-paying jobs for American workers.

Couple things about Iran for market participants: - Iran is nothing like Iraq. The population is united against the regime, highly educated, pro-democracy and been ready for decades to transition to a free country. There is already a consensus candidate for managing the transition period. - IRGC always talks big and does little when real force shows up (case in point: they did nothing to avenge the death of their commander when Trump killed him). This pattern has been observed for decades; they chicken out when outnumbered. - They have virtually no air defense, and an old, crumbling military that will fold in a matter of days, especially given the lack of support (and likely sabotage) from the residents. - Their missiles and drones can sting, but that is exactly why a massive number of US assets are positioned in the region to destroy them. - Their oil is mostly going to China and they have a very crumbling infrastructure operating well below capacity. - Conclusion: If a full on war with the regime begins, markets should not worry. The tail risk is very limited -- they will fold quickly and their population will take over soon. A hostile terror-funding regime will be replaced with a modern, pro-West democracy with good relationships with neighbors. Terror funds will stop. Russia will weaken. Middle east will enjoy lasting peace and the US will be able to shoft focus away from the region. Further restrictions on Iranian energy exports will be lifted in a matter of months, leading to more energy abundance and lower inflation worldwide. This is a battle to buy not to panic about.
