What is required to turn around that school - a prevention model involving Direct Instruction and homogeneous groups, and prescriptive school-wide behavior routines - is within the budget of schools, but not in the tolerance of the adults in them.

This woman brings up something that our public schools have completely missed. Our students aren’t necessarily faltering because school is too hard. The students are struggling because our public schools are asking them to consider gender and sexuality at 5 years old. I can’t even imagine how confusing (and terrifying) it would be for a five year old to be focused on their genitals instead of their ABCs.
