One of the biggest social problems I see is that we have to work until 67 but it gets harder and harder to get a job after 50.

Your landlord wants more money. The grocery store wants more money. The utility company wants more money. Your insurance wants more money. Your subscription services want more money. But when workers ask for higher pay, suddenly everyone acts like that’s unreasonable. People aren’t asking for more just because they want more. The cost of living keeps going up.

There’s something deeply strange about spending 40 hours a week working for 40 or 50 years just to afford the right to exist. We built machines to make life easier, then somehow built a system that keeps everyone working anyway. I don’t want a bigger house or a fancier car. I just want a little garden and enough time to enjoy it.

How does that even happen this close to an election? It’s unacceptable. Texans did their part.
