Now you can enqueue any PR in a stack, and the queue tests and merges the whole stack in one atomic operation.
Stacked PRs are compatible with all Trunk Merge Queue features, so you still get batching, merge graphs, priority, and failure isolation.

The coolest startups scale their CI with Trunk! PostHog is one of them.
This week, one of their engineers turned up in @GergelyOrosz's Pragmatic Engineer newsletter. This piece is about loop engineering, where you hand an AI agent a goal and let it keep working until the job is done. Paul wired our Flaky Tests API into one of these loops. It pulls the next flaky test, runs it locally to confirm it actually flakes, and opens a pull request with a fix when it does. By his count, that loop netted 13 PRs to stabilize a batch of their tests.

What makes a loop like this work is that most of the hard part is already handled before the agent starts. Trunk detects and quarantines flaky tests from your existing CI results, and the API carries the context around each one: the blast radius of how many pull requests it has disrupted, the most common failure summaries grouped from the logs, and the code owners. That is exactly the context an agent needs to target the actual failure mode and stay scoped to the tests that matter.
