Below are real videos from the Tesla fleet of people who did not get hit by a car — crashes that were prevented — due to Tesla Vision AI.
What is wrong with us as a society? This technology is being deployed to millions of cars and prevent hundreds - thousands of incidents like this every day. We should all be cheering on and supporting this effort as a society.
Instead, people are angry, dismissive, and even willing to harass those who use the technology and love it.
Let me just say one thing to the naysayers: What we're witnessing here is so big it makes your life your entire life look like an inconsequential joke by comparison. This is so much bigger than you and me. This technology will save so many lives and prevent so much damage and lost time that you and I can't even fathom it. If you think FSD is a joke, what does that make you? What have you ever done that has saved hundreds of people from a crash every day?
Why are people so stupid? Why are there so few people who have the courage to stand up and say hey, it is imperative that we do this no matter how long it takes. Where are the people who are ready to give constructive criticism before mocking the team and Elon? Everyone told the guy he was nuts for pursing self-driving with just computer vision. Because Elon made this bold bet and it paid off, this life saving technology can now be deployed far more widely than it ever could have otherwise. But instead of admitting they were completely wrong, the naysayers pat themselves on the back. "See, I told you it was impossible. It's still not done!"
We need less whining morons in this world and more people like the brave men and women on the Tesla Autopilot / AI team. God bless them and the work they are doing to keep me and my loved ones safe.
