“Would you like to request voluntary departure, or should I issue a removal order?” The judge asked. “I don’t know,” Angel, 13, replied before bursting into tears. He stared ahead stoically and continued to cry, eventually saying: “I have no one. I have nothing.”
NEW: In a Texas courtroom Monday, 25 migrant children lined the pews — a 9yo rested her head on the table, a 6yo pretended to fly an airplane, and a 3yo played with the mic. Many in attendance didn't have an attorney — and a 13yo was ordered removed. A look inside, thru sketches.

I know everyone cares about my Birthday but I also want to shout out @StephenKing, since it’s birthday too! 🎉
13
I made it to 46. Not bad, considering doctors told my mom I’d never see 3. Each birthday, I celebrate by asking one celebrity to help me make the world a little better. This year, I’m reaching out to @mcuban, and you can help by vouching. Mark, as a fellow Pittsburgher, I think we both value two things: time and making a difference. Time, I’m running a little low on. I’ve spent 25 years working in disability technology, and today I direct Mount Sinai’s Back-to-Life Center. Here’s the problem I can’t stop thinking about: No one teaches disabled people how to be disabled. The healthcare system can save your life, stabilize you, rehab you—and then, far too often, send you home to figure out the rest yourself. How do I use technology to regain independence? How do I work? How do I date? How do I travel? How do I find the tools that make everyday life possible? How do I build a life instead of simply surviving one? The answers exist. The technology exists. The knowledge exists. But there’s no real bridge connecting people to it. So here’s my birthday ask: Let me send you one email laying out how I think we can build that bridge. No pitch deck. No ask for a check. If you think there’s something there, point me toward one person, company, or organization you think I should be talking to. That would be one hell of a 46th birthday present.

Bloomberg's Jason Schreier details why #PlayStation parted ways with #Kojima on #Physint, while giving the perspectives of all sides involved. PlayStation perspective: Neither Death Stranding 1 or 2 lived up to PS's sales expectations. DS1 sold better than DS1, but a bulk of its sales were discounted (less revenue) and on PC, which PS didn't publish. As timed exclusives they also didn't drive console sales the way a permanent exclusive might. A lot of the folk Kojima was closest with at PlayStation, are also no longer at the company, which was also a factor. They signed on to make Physint, but during early production over the last few years "it has been missing milestones, it has been late on deadlines, it has been over budget, and it has not been living up to PlayStation's expectations", per multiple sources at PlayStation. There was also uncertainty about the games development, and Kojima was also asking for a lot of money fot it; in the hundreds of millions. These things coupled with difficult discussions about exclusivity windows (PS don't do PC releases for SP any more), ultimately led to PS cancelling. The other thing is that with increasing AI shortage prices and PS not expecting to sell as many future consoles, they are now trying to maximise profitability and revenue per user, in other words, less risk averse. Post Concord, PlayStation also has much more rigorous process with production milestones and development assessment, hence are much more privy to cancellations if targets aren't met, unlike previously where they may have let things run. Kojima perspective: Kojima feels games are near enough always late and over budget, especially if you want award winning, prestige building, critically acclaimed or stand out games. Jason even concurs with this notion. The previous regime at PlayStation was more open to Kojima and this type of project flexibility, whereas the new regime is tightening the purse and wanting stricter controls. The new PS regimes personalities also clash more with Kojima. Xbox perspective: For Xbox, this is a play for more of the Asian market, both Japan and China. They also see potenial benefit in the movie and film production side of things, and want more exposure to that sector with Kojima. Unlike PlayStation, they are also happy to publish on PC, hence push the PC platform and take any royalties that come with it, even if Steam takes a lionshare. Jason does mention some at Xbox, especially the ones recently laid off or studios divested, may feel negatively about this bolder investment into Kojima, which is ultimately expensive and risky at a time they've been heavily cutting costs. --- He ends with mentioning that Physint is essentially a spiritual successor to Metal Gear Solid, not some niche delivery genre, hence understandable there's been much stronger reactions from players. Trump claims he was basically lifted out of the rubble on 9/11: "Two fireman, big strong guys, they grabbed me under the arms -- 'got to get our of here!' -- and they literally lifted me up, and they started running with me."

Trump was miles from Ground Zero on 9/11, speaking by phone from his office. He visited the area days later. His story of being lifted from the rubble by firefighters first appeared in 2021 and lacks corroborating evidence. politifact.com/factchecks/202… usatoday.com/story/news/fac… newsweek.com/fact-check-did…

here's a Bungie statement on this I just got: "Bungie is exploring options to sublease its campus in Bellevue, Washington. The studio transitioned to a digital-first model several years ago, and this move reflects the team’s evolving workplace needs and the effectiveness of its remote collaboration. Bungie will continue to maintain a physical office presence in Bellevue." that's so much square footage god lol
‼️NEW: Bungie has put its massive 210,984 sq. ft. Bellevue headquarters up for sublease, with the current master lease set to expire on September 30, 2035 - thegamepost.com/bungie-belle…

In Japan, when a treasured bowl breaks, we don't throw it away. We don't glue it back and hide the cracks either. We repair it with gold. It's called kintsugi. The broken lines are filled with lacquer dusted in real gold, so every crack becomes a shining river across the surface. The bowl is not "as good as new." It is better than new. This has been practiced for over 400 years, and the idea underneath it is quietly radical: the damage is part of the object's history, and history should be honored, not hidden. A kintsugi bowl that survived a break is often more valuable than one that never broke at all. Now read that sentence again, but this time, about a person. Every scar you carry is proof that you survived something. Japan just happens to be the country that wrote this truth in gold, on its dinnerware, four centuries before therapy was invented. What would you repair, if you could repair it with gold?
