My goal is not to wake up every day and sue the Trump administration. But if they continue to violate the Constitution, infringe on our state’s rights, and impose illegal actions that hurt Texans, it will be my job to stop them.

Greg Abbott is turning Texas public schools into donor-backed AI schools. When I'm governor, I'll invest in teachers, not AI chatbots.

Greg Abbott promised gas would be under $2 a gallon by the end of the summer. Today is the first day of fall. Care to comment, @GregAbbott_TX?

If we want a government that is by the people, for the people, and a real representation of the people, we’ve got to show up.  Go Vote. #NolanWells

Two more servicemembers have died because of Trump's illegal and unconstitutional war. My heart is with their families, and I'm praying for the safe return of the servicemember still missing. Congress passed a War Powers Resolution to end this. When is enough going to be enough?
BREAKING: Two U.S. service members were killed in a strike on a base in Jordan overnight, according to U.S. Central Command. A third service member is missing in action, CENTCOM said. Four other U.S. service members were medically evacuated to hospital in Jordan, and have since been discharged. There were other service members treated for minor injuries, CENTCOM said.

My favorite moment from today’s town hall was when James Talarico called out so-called “supporters” like @KeithEdwards, @rogueDNC, and @DavidPiperVO, telling them to stop harassing Black political voices online. He specifically mentioned the work that Jasmine Crockett has been doing and reminded everyone that our focus should be on what actually matters: defeating Ken Paxton.

Secretary of State Jane Nelson announced that she would be resigning from her role - effective July 17. This is a concerning situation given that the Secretary of State oversees every election in Texas, and we are months away from the midterm elections. #txlege

I lowkey love this because now the Texas Democratic Party is stuck between a rock and a hard place. A dilemma of their own creation. Because if we’re being honest, the only Black woman who should be headlining this convention is…
If Black women are the backbone of the Democratic Party, why does the headline lineup for the Texas State Convention make us feel like an afterthought? We’re 20 days out and coming out of a primary where the isms and micro/macro aggressions were LOUD. 🧵1/2

Today the Supreme Court upheld Texas Republicans’ Congressional map designed to dilute the voting power of black and brown Texans. Our efforts to organize, turn out, and win anyway will not be deterred.
