Co-Founder of @xtensorlabs and @xtensorcapital TAO-pilled and !CHIMP for life

After 20 years in traditional finance, I am going all in on decentralised AI. The AI race will shape far more than markets. It will decide who controls access to intelligence, how knowledge is produced and where power ultimately sits. So @ArtiomS and I created @xTensorCapital and @xTensorLabs. AI cannot be built entirely on infrastructure controlled by a handful of companies. We are backing the parallel path. The thesis is simple: decentralised AI remains underinvested, undervalued and widely misunderstood. It is early, technically difficult and easy to dismiss. That is exactly where asymmetry lives. xTensor Capital invests. xTensor Labs builds and operates. Each makes the other sharper. Much more to come on what we are building, learning and backing. Stay tuned!

The higher the bittensor:native price goes, the easier it is to justify an even higher price As Bittensor goes up, the amount of capital in emissions to find better talent goes up This flywheel is why a $5,000 TAO isn't just possible, but likely long-term

Productive day: good progress on the fund, ATH on my $TAO portfolio, short Bittensor film released, entry for the @404gen_ game jam submitted with 30 minutes to spare 😅 I am off, gn

We are getting closer to this aha moment in CT: “Wait, Bittensor is like BTC? But the miners help build SOTA AI startups?? And those startups are forced to hoard bittensor:native to retain access to their miners??? Why did no one tell me this earlier????”

I see a lot of moon targets for $ZEC and $NEAR on the TL, but no one is talking about bittensor:native breaking out. Oh well. Higher.

You aren’t gonna like it, but we are in serious need of crypto regulations. The amount of money getting stolen from our internet friends is alarming. And the pace will only accelerate. We need more protections, and the bad actors need to fear the consequences of their actions.

I know you guys are lazy and don't like to read long articles. So I tasked Claude to create a short documentary to explain the premise of $TAO. It isn't perfect but it is pretty watchable! Do me a favour, give it a go? @lium_io @engyai @webuildscore @taodotcom mentioned.

“Protect him at all costs”
At 9AM EST today somebody abused a bug in Payment Processor V2 to steal 10 Meebits, 50 Otherdeeds, 10 WoW, and 235 Desperate Apewives. It wasn't until over 12 hours later that somebody reported it to me, and upon digging in I realized that a great many NFTs were subject to the same exploit. I got in touch with the team over at LimitBreak and they quickly paused Payment Processor V3, which was subject to the same exploit. Unfortunately, V2 was not pausable, so the only path towards protecting affected assets was to run a whitehat operation. Similarly, V3 on ApeChain is temporarily in a state where it cannot be paused, so ApeChain assets approved to V3 needed to be saved as well. All in all, we rescued 23,155 NFTs worth north of $5.7M USD. We later discovered that a similar exploit could be used in reverse to steal WETH. 660 WETH was at risk, which we unfortunately were not fast enough to recover. Apologies to those affected. Shout out to @Boomskite for flagging the initial exploit tx to me, and @coffeedev @0xjustadev and @whiteoakkong for acting quickly and assisting with the recovery. All NFTs are safely relocated. Soon, owners will be able claim them back after revoking the exploitable approvals. Addresses to revoke below.

Joining Chimpers was one of the best decisions I've made in Web3. And I'm genuinely grateful for the advice I've received from legends like @_Craig_ along the way. What surprises me the most isn't even the lore, the IP, or the building. It's the people , so many amazing amazing people like @PunkHot10 , @insightchimpi , @mstrchimpo , @LiverpoolMTB , @ChimpiGoki .. if I continue I will probably tag every Chimpers members. The love, support, and genuine welcome I've received from this community have been overwhelming. Sometimes I sit back and think... If I had known the Chimpers community was this loving and welcoming, I probably would have sold almost everything I owned just to join earlier. But then I remind myself of something important. Maybe I'm not late after all. Maybe I'm still early. And if this is what the community feels like today, I can only imagine what the future of the @ChimpersHQ looks like. This journey is becoming more emotional than I ever expected.

I don’t think it is done yet, by the way. They are winning the consumer AI race, and this is not fully reflected yet in their valuation when compared to where frontier labs are rumoured to IPO.
Bought $META last week at around $650. I think they are best positioned to win the consumer side of AI, which represents a gigantic TAM. The market started pricing it, but I think there is a lot more to go.

This hack is the equivalent of kicking a man already on the floor. There is going to be a lot of PTSD among collectors once the dust settles. While it is a very dark time for our space, I hope it marks rock bottom and that leaders and communities will unite to pull everyone out of this deep hole.

Robots need an internet of physical experience, and it doesn't exist yet. Language models had the whole web to learn from. Robots have almost nothing, which is why Figure alone has committed over $1B to data and compute. The market for first-person data of people doing real tasks is about to be enormous. @openroboto's answer is Shift, a new data track on Subnet 80 that pays operators through Bittensor to record that experience: cooking, folding, handling tools, assembling parts. They've built their own head-mounted rig for it, the OR-S1, with synced stereo capture so every recording traces back to the device that made it. Customers define the tasks and quality they need, rewards lean towards what a dataset actually lacks, and once a customer's exclusivity window closes, the data goes into an open pool for researchers. The one word of caution. Crypto has tried paying people for physical activity before. StepN paid you to walk, Axie paid you to play, and both ran out of road when the rewards depended on new entrants rather than real buyers. Shift's bet is that robotics companies are those real buyers. If that demand shows up at scale, this works. That's the thing to watch.
Today we’re launching OpenRoboto Shift, opening a new chapter for OpenRoboto. Shift is a decentralized network for collecting egocentric robotics data: first-person video of real people doing real work. Only Possible on Bittensor. Explore Shift → shift.openroboto.ai/
