I don't believe in thoughtcrime. I'm wary of cluster B folks and I do consider them, generally, to be evil. But being evil isn't a crime; at worst, it's a red flag. Crime is violent or fraudulent behavior that harms others. Keep yourself from behaving that way, and I think society shouldn't label you a criminal.
That said, I don't care what excuses you have if you do commit a crime. I don't believe in not guilty by reason of insanity. Call me ableist, I don't care.
