Today, Pioneer Labs is announcing our first step towards terraforming Mars. 🚀🌼
With equipment that fits in just a single rocket launch, we can convert Martian dirt, water, and air into enough building materials to construct a small city on Mars.
To do it, we made the first microbe for Mars. We found the best microbe on Earth and used evolution to teach it how to source all of its nutrients directly from Martian materials.
The first astronauts will be greeted with safe shelter already filled with water, oxygen, and rocket fuel for the return journey.
This is the first step toward using biology to make Mars a friendly place for life. It lets us live off the land and helps us build the next great frontier.

EU's bureaucracy approach to cybersecurity:
- Spend 1.4 Billion of taxpayer money on a "cyber early-warning system"
- Take 20 months to work on it
- Don't have anything usable to show for it
@EU_Commission should cleanup their yard first, before dictating what we can do online.
The EU built an early-warning system to catch the next major cyberattack before it spreads. Roughly 20 months later, auditors have found it still is not fully switched on.

Did a write-up of my own German exit tax solution. TLDR: Needed 13 tax advisors, 1.5 years, and 18.7k€.
Tax advisors shady as hell. Highlights:
You have to pay 2k€ to a notary to move your companies into a new structure. The notary is missing the right document template. You have to pay another tax advisor 1.9k€ for said document template.
After paying 1.9k€ for the template, the notary reads it out loud to you and you pay them another 2k€ for that

‼️ BREAKING: A zero-day has been released for Muse, Meta's new AI agent, and a Meta AI security engineering manager who left the company this month says he would never use it, citing security and privacy concerns.
He was reacting to the zero-day a researcher posted, which lets malware hijack Muse for Mac. A local process with no special privileges can change an undocumented Muse setting and send dictated prompts to an attacker's server. This could allow for prompt capture, prompt injection and theft of Muse's authentication material.
It can also get access to whatever the user has let Muse access, including files, Mail, Messages, Calendar and Notes.

i love nature docs & i recently came across one that hit me super hard. turns out the labords chameleon’s life cycle is extremely short. they live only 4-5 months & immediately die after laying & burying their eggs (which is their only purpose)z
in the final moments their nervous system begins to fail as their brain loses control of skin cells, so random nerve firings cause the skin to randomly change colors which causes a ridiculous art as they slowly die. it’s like sort of a visualization of the brain’s final flickerings.
pristine example of nature’s beauty, tragedy, & brutality at the same time.
