one of the most useful heuristics I eventually landed on for discretionary trading is that if you notice you are trying particularly hard to justify/build a case for why a trade idea is worth taking, with all sorts of complex rationalisations, its probably not worth taking

Out of a SEA of full stop scam firms out there my man might have chosen the 1 ultra legit one to take a brawl with. 🫣
The latest scam sham "trade with our money" prop firm is @breakoutprop They clam $40M in payouts I claim B.S. So, I will challenge them to a "put up or shut up" challenge $100,000 account I will take first $10,000 loss They pay me 90% of profits I set the rules completely given my first loss concession Markets traded. Hold time. Daily DD. Orders type used

💯People forget that the most powerful neural network known in the universe is sitting behind our eyes, always learning. THAT is the "gut" intuition.
I'm a huge believer that "gut" intuition is just the manifestation of tens of thousands of hours of pattern recognition, even if you can't perfectly articulate/quantify it. It's why trading can't really be taught, you just need to do it and learn from your mistakes.

having a job is like holding 0.00001 % of a shitcoin while you work your bags the hardest and the dev owns 99% of the supply and only he is allowed to sell plus your tokens are locked until you’re 65 and by then the dev has already rugged the project

By “grow our way out of it”, Bessent means we’re going to grow the supply of dollars by a preposterous amount. Long Bitcoin or die.

This article was inspired by a discussion I had with the great @PeterLBrandt. There is an important distinction, though: everything discussed above is primarily about lower-time-frame trading. On the LTF, we are effectively analyzing the game as it is being played. We watch the offense, the defense, the battles in the trenches, and the shifts in control, and when the odds move sufficiently in our favor, we bet on the eventual result. Peter operates on a much higher time frame. He is not trying to analyze every snap, every drive, or even every individual game. He is looking at the whole season. At that level, the results of countless smaller auctions have already been compressed into price itself. Trend, structure, major highs and lows, and the behavior of price over time become the primary source of information. Looking inside every individual game can sometimes improve the larger read, but it can just as easily add complexity and noise that a higher-time-frame trader simply does not need. So my conclusion is: LTF: read the auction. HTF: read the price. Nothing else needed!

Gotta be ragebaiting atp. Why would a perma BTC hater be fucking tuned in doing TA and shit lmao
I'm not sure why Bitcoin didn't sell off today, but the rally gives HODLers another opportunity to sell. Any ideas what's propping it up? Remember, $65K is resistance. There isn't much upside above that level, but plenty of downside below.

Beginner traders stay stuck because they try to understand every single move. While Pros only care about one type of move.

Orange pilled my mate down the pub last night. Honestly, it’s so simple once you explain it properly. I told him Bitcoin is just money you hold yourself. He liked that. Then he asked how you hold it. So I explained you buy a hardware wallet, but obviously not that one, and not that one either. Then I said don’t trust its randomness, you’ll want to generate your own entropy with dice. He said “like Monopoly dice?” Bless him. No, mate. Casino-grade precision dice, and verify they’re fair first, because a biased die is a biased seed. Then I said roll it 99 times. He asked why not fewer. I explained that anything less than 99 rolls gives you less entropy, and while 50 rolls and 12 words is technically unbreakable by every computer that will ever exist, we don’t do technically round here. We do 256 bits. He asked what a bit was. I told him not to worry about it. Then I explained you do this in a room with no phone, no smart speaker, no camera, ideally soundproofed, because the acoustics of a dice roll and your keystrokes are a side channel. He’d gone quiet by then, so I gave him a minute. Then I said you’ll want 3 seeds, not 1, because single points of failure are what wiped out 500 people last week. So that’s 297 dice rolls. Then multisig, 2-of-3, and you’ll need to back up the descriptor as well as the words, because 3 seeds alone won’t rebuild the wallet, and yes, that’s a fourth thing to lose. Then I said store the 3 backups in 3 separate locations, because if a burglar or a house fire gets two, you’ve achieved nothing. He asked where. I said somewhere fireproof, ideally stamped in steel, definitely not the loft. Then I mentioned the Faraday bag. And the airgap. And that you sign transactions by waving QR codes at a Raspberry Pi you built yourself. And that you should rehearse the whole thing on a parallel test network with fake coins first, obviously. He asked what happens if he gets it wrong. I said you lose everything forever, and nobody is coming to help you. Anyway, that’s another one onboarded. 💪

Type of bullshit that you have to see at bear markets
Bitcoin divided by Apple reveals a channel that has anticipated every major top since 2017 When we divide Bitcoin’s price by Apple’s stock price, a surprisingly consistent channel appears. Since 2017, BTC/AAPL has respected the boundaries of this channel, accurately signaling the market’s major bottoms and tops. What makes this even more interesting is that BTC/AAPL tends to reach the top of the channel before Bitcoin itself forms a top in USD. That makes it a potential leading indicator for market cycle peaks. Historically, when Bitcoin becomes extremely overvalued relative to Apple, the market starts signaling that it may be time to reduce BTC exposure and rotate part of that capital into Apple shares. Now, BTC/AAPL is once again approaching the lower region of the channel, an area that previously aligned with major accumulation opportunities. Sometimes, the best way to understand the value of one asset is to compare it with another high quality asset.

I’ve made $8 million from trading. Allow me to let you in on a little secret - there is no strategy that is better than any other. The best one is the one you FOCUS on. Edge is made by looking at the markets one specific way and knowing everything about it. You could trade a profitable traders strategy and still not be unprofitable - because even if you know the basic rules of it, you don’t know that you shouldn’t enter when price is coming to your entry lazily, or that your exit rules should be different in different market conditions. It’s all these sub-rules that make a strategy profitable and you can only get them when you’ve put in 1,000s of hours on a chart with that one strategy.
