We fun season, ends disappointing like always. See the Guards back in 2028. No season next year...

TB Ray's playing Guards ball bunting, stealing bases, being aggressive and great D. The Guards forgot to do that this series.

Lay off the high shit. Take a call call 3rd strike.

2-0 feels like 6-0 with this offense. Why R we afraid to run? Also Palacios swung thru on that check swing.

A boy watched lobsters in a resort tank, asked what happened to them, went quietly to his room, and came back wearing a Spider-Man mask. Same shirt. Same shorts. Same shoes. Just the mask. He had priorities. The family was vacationing at a small resort in Mexico when the boy discovered the restaurant's lobster tank. He studied them for a while. Then he asked the question that changed the trajectory of the trip. What happens to them? He got his answer and went back to his room without saying anything else. His parents probably assumed that was the end of it. It was not. Restaurant cameras caught him returning a few minutes later in his Spider-Man mask, reaching into the tank, and carrying lobsters down to the ocean. He made the trip more than once. By the time staff noticed and intervened, roughly four hundred dollars worth of lobster had been released into the sea. His parents were handed the bill and asked to leave the resort early. The boy explained his reasoning simply. He wore the mask so nobody would know it was him. His mother shared the story afterward with one observation that said everything about the situation. "He's grounded, but he keeps asking whether the lobsters made it. I don't think he regrets a thing." He didn't change his clothes. He didn't change his shoes. He found a mask, decided that was sufficient cover for a covert ocean rescue operation, and executed the plan. Four hundred dollars of legal consequences later, he still just wants to know if the lobsters are okay. Honestly, Spider-Man would probably understand. #jayvendeluca #usa #fblifestyle #wholesome #animals

When their guard collapsed under the sweltering sun, six inmates didn't see an escape route—they saw a dying man and stepped in to save his life Six men in work uniforms stood beside an open lawn in Polk County, Georgia, taking directions from Officer Greg Williams. It was June 2017, and the summer heat pressed heavily on the cemetery grounds where the crew was assigned to cut grass. Without any warning sign, Officer Williams slumped to the grass and lost consciousness. The six inmates gathered around him and quickly realized he was not breathing. The supervisor's service weapon sat nearby, and the open perimeter offered a clear path away from the cemetery. Instead of walking away, the men moved directly toward the fallen officer. They unzipped and removed his heavy bulletproof vest to relieve the pressure on his chest. One inmate reached for the officer's work phone, dialed 911, and gave the operator their location. The rest of the crew began administering CPR on the spot. When one inmate grew tired from pushing against Williams' chest, another stepped in to take over the rhythm. They maintained continuous compressions until the emergency vehicle sirens grew loud enough to signal help had arrived. Paramedics took over medical care and later confirmed that the crew's immediate effort kept the officer alive. Sheriff Johnny Moats was notified of the event and decided to recognize the men's initiative. He organized a community lunch where Officer Williams and his family could meet and thank the crew directly. Sheriff Moats also reviewed the legal records of all six men. He signed orders reducing each of their remaining jail sentences by twenty-five percent.

Jaleel McLaughlin ran 28 yards into the end zone tonight as the Cleveland Browns beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-24. His mother Tonya lost her factory job when he was 12. The Ford Focus is where they ended up. His grandmother had already died of a heart attack while the family was living in her house. They stayed in motels before that. They stayed with relatives. Tonya was raising him and his siblings by herself, and then she had to take work in Arkansas and was apart from her sons for two years. They got back together right as he started high school. He was good. At Forest Hills High School in Marshville, North Carolina he won a state title in basketball, two more in track, and averaged 8.4 yards a carry as a senior running back. Almost nobody offered him a scholarship. He is 5 foot 7. The few schools that called mostly wanted to move him to defensive back. Notre Dame College took him. Division II. South Euclid, Ohio, ten miles east of Cleveland. He ran for 302 yards in his first college game. A Division II record. Then 2,421 yards as a freshman. Then 2,316 yards and 33 touchdowns as a sophomore. He transferred to Youngstown State and kept going. He finished with 8,166 yards and 79 touchdowns. Read that again. Nobody in the history of college football, in any division, has ever run for more yards than Jaleel McLaughlin. He went undrafted in 2023. The Denver Broncos signed him off the street. He played all 17 games as a rookie. Here is the part that gets me. Notre Dame College, where he set those records, closed its doors for good on May 2, 2024. The school does not exist anymore. There is no team to go back to. On September 1 of this year the Cleveland Browns put him on their practice squad. On September 15 they moved him up to the active roster after Dylan Sampson got hurt. Tonight, ten miles from a campus that is gone, in a three point game against the team Cleveland hates most, he took it 28 yards and scored. "Have a goal, have a dream," he said when he broke the record. "Don't let nobody tell you what you can be, no matter the circumstance, no matter how small, no matter where you come from." Be honest about where he stands. He is a backup. He went from Denver to a practice squad to a roster spot that only opened because somebody else got injured. Next September is not promised to him either. But he has already done the hardest thing he will ever do, and it had nothing to do with football. A kid who slept in a Ford Focus is playing on Thursday night in prime time.
