People are angry, and I understand why. We had full control of two branches of government and still barely moved the needle on the issues people actually care about. Now, instead of taking responsibility for what they did...or failed to do...they’re going to blame voters when they lose ground in the midterms? Voters shouldn’t be expected to keep rewarding leaders who haven’t delivered on the promises that got them elected.

Although @DonBeyerVA has withdrawn from participating following our Arlington CivFed candidate forum, I’ll continue to show up, listen, and share the solutions I believe can move #VA08 forward. I believe our politics can be better than constant division. We can disagree without treating our neighbors as enemies, work across party lines where common ground exists, and put results ahead of rhetoric. We are Americans first.
